So yip still on RP for NZ Cup. Go RP.
Couldn't have him for mine Karrots. Dont Stop Dreaming went passed him easily to power home after getting dragged up.,behind him. Stayers have a good record over the sprint distance because they can usually sustain a longer sprint at the end. RP was sadly lacking in that department, fitness or not. My old warhorse Self Assured (stayer)was climbing all over them at the business end, albeit with a trail 3 back and not doing to much early, and with room would have made it very close. Im sticking with him if they put him into the Cup.

the process of editing text for publication:"what was left after the redaction would be virtually useless"
Drawing a very long bow there Max. We are talking Literary texts here, not one or two word phrases. You a bit bored today.

I thought Dragonstone in the first race, looked good at the trials before it had its first race, so may be one to keep an eye on.
You may be right Robert. I like the look of the Volsteads so far (he has 5 winners from only 8 starters) and a good draw with this one , so hopefully.

Jimmy 'Z' Zavala (born July 12, 1955) is an American musician. He is notable for playing harmonica on the Eurythmics song "Missionary Man" and performing with the band live.
He is a look-alike then. Cheers for that, shoulda checked myself.

And another classic. Pretty sure that is Bryan Ferry from Roxy Music on harmonica.

Ill be watching your selections next week Rees to make sure you dont throw it just to win The Prize. Ill have the Fraud Squad no at my fingertips to call one of memates 😀
To be honest PJ smiled and made a cursory comment when I mentioned the cap, so being cheeky may not work whether I throw the match or not. -------eh PJ. 😉

58 Maria
Not a good day for your high standards Maria, but a very good win for the team. Thanks to the $58 I have cracked the 4k against and would be pretty sure (barring miracles ) to retain first place next week. If we don't make it through ,Im sure PJ will have it boxed up and ready to post anyway 😜, and if we do then Im a dead cert for two caps. 🤣

My personal view, and that's all it is, is that the Triple Joker tends to distort the comps.
I'd be happy if we got rid of it.
I would agree, but hats off to PJ for trying innovative ideas to spice up the comp, remembering it involves another layer of computation to an already time consuming exercise. Im sure he will make a ruling in due course for future comps .👍
