We just saw a prime example with your NZ star horse Imperatriz being beaten by the weight scale

So you naturally asked the horse if the weight was too much for it.? C,mon LB, wild assumptions again and guesses. So if the two meet again and Imperatriz wins with a bigger weight your argument becomes a flaming wreck on the ground. But we digress of course , and in Mardi.s world was there value to be had taking into account all the factors he uses. I doubt it, probably never went near the race. My son in law trained TB,s and had some pearlers (eg Tavistock )and even he admitted, to a degree weight did not make much difference to a 400-600 kg horse with the low difference in the pull in weights nowadays.

Man I cannot believe the likes of Mardigras etc and how naive (thats being kind) they are.

Really, I concur with Pete on this. It might pay to go back and re-read some of Mardigras posts and explanations on his modus operandi in finding value . You are obviously completely lost in this case . Only Mardi could elaborate or reply but Im sure he can't be bothered in light of the ignorance shown.

  4. Well papercuts do hurt don't they.!!!! Remember the song well though. Speaking of Cockneys, my best mate when living in Sydney in my late teens was one, and used to crack me up at times. " Oi, i'm just slipping on my daisy roots, then im off round the johnny horner ,down the apple and pears, into a sherbet dab and down the dilly." Work that one out. lol

  6. Just a quick note, for anyone watching. I do my initial assessments first, and then go over them a second time a while later ,taking into account a whole raft of permutations, and trying to find value where I can instead of favs, and still maintain some sort of return.   I have been caught on numerous occasions  of late ,changing my mind and getting stung. Tonight it was Hughie Wallace instead of my original pick Luby Lil. Yesterday it was two  changes , Johnny Who for Jocas Hill(1rst) and Baileys Pitch for Molly Belwin(1rst), the first night at Palmy it was Million Dollar Chic for Apple Of My Eye (1rst). Thats racing of course, but might tweak it next time around and go each way instead of win only. 👍

  7. Alex Park 15-3-24

R1    2 Cyren Shard  ( Lobs a good draw, third up at the Park and 3 win horse on limited career so far)  Broke on a mobile Phhtt

R6   6  Ruby Roe  (Has beaten the fav before , depends on the run from the draw, and whether she handles this way around, but shows any amount of ability, and I like Nathan as a trainer)                                                                                               3rd.
