  1. Dead right Hesi! I've said this before on another  thread, but with any large company, when a new CEO comes on board the first thing he thinks about is how can I improve this business  before the next shareholders meeting? Income over expenditure, this usually means dead wood is gone and having more of one and less of the other, therefore  showing shareholders  the business  is in good hands or he and a few others on the board are gone. This is how business  in the real world is done.

  2. Great analogy Mardi! All the contributors  here and on some other sites can easily see and make good solutions moving forward, and have been saying so for many years..So why is it the people in charge can't see the wood for the trees?

  3. This Covid thing is easy.

May 8 1945 VE day!Just had our 2 min remembrance silence.

We kept our faith with ourselves and with one another. We kept faith and unity with our great allies. That faith  and unity  have carried us to victory.

    George VI  May 8 1945.

God bless you all. This your victory! It is the victory of the cause of freedom in every  land.My dear friends, this is your hour.

interesting, too, to see Gee Roland and Jen with such a low low win %  ...but we're all dead scared of them in a H2H  cos of the 'killer punch' / knockout factor!

Still a couple in the shadows Maxi! They know who they are.For fear of retribution in the draw,I know nothing!

That actually happened to me once, fortunately we were only 20-30m from shore so could get the boat back to the ramp and pull it out.

To continue the analogy MC, yes you could go to full revs to try and get the boat up planing to allow the water to drain, but only if too much water(dead weight) has not entered.  In Racing's case the dead weight has reached such a level, that is not now possible and will sink

😄Also happened to me once many years ago!Cruised the length of Tairua harbour before the old man realised he was stern heavy and observed the bungs still sitting  in the the well of the Hartley!😳(great fishing boat)He may have blamed it on us kids, but  I believe it was possibly his visit to the Sir George  Grey the night before.

Going back to the NZTA discussion, why has it just taken this current situation for them to voice their opinions ?Why haven't they stepped  in or help implement the new racing calendar? Look at the South  Islands  deep south shambles.

  6. The boat can be saved(and all who sail on her).Captain  calls on the crew(bail you f...ers)to sight land.Caption goes for home(water never enters a speeding boat ),puts boat on trailer to drain and thinks that this would be a good time to dry out, strip it all back, cut out all the dead wood and start from scratch!

  7. Is it just me?But has the NZTA only just realised that the water is up to their knees and someone has left the bungs out at the boat ramp a while ago!🚣‍♂️🦈

It’s $10k to get a horse there, so has to be good in the first place. Most Aussies are cheats and liars, very hard to judge that from another country.  Horses have so much shit go wrong with them that it’s very difficult to organise distance travel to get to see them race.
Many of the industry’s participants in both Countries I wouldn’t trust $5 with as they are that bloody slippery. Hence why I have had and still have horses with Freda, honest and genuine as they come & cares for the animal.

Fair enough Barry! I see your still in the game know they have posted $15k racing! Hypothetically speaking, starting from scratch and racing in Nz was 10k,would you be tempted? Plenty of ex kiwi trainers in Aus if you wanted to keep it in the family.Even a slow one pays it's way by going Bush and landing  a punt now and again😉.By the way, plenty of crooks in NZ you just have to peer a little higher  over the parapet,or is it the fog in the Tron?😁.

All the best with your runners

It’s to expensive and it’s going to mega to get there now, in all honesty this crap surrounding NZ Racing has dulled my interest in the whole sport.

Pitman made a fool of himself and like many  in the industry are just full of self interest and talk from a very low knowledge base. The total lack of cohesion in the industry is a joke, and is the biggest reason it’s self destructing.

You don't need to have your horses with Waller etc Barry! Plenty of good  trainers for all budgets. Come join us 🏇,couple of trips a year to Aus for the jolly up 🥳
