Freda has pretty much nailed it! It all depends on what people want to get out of the syndicate. From experience there are two types of syndicates at the lower end,one that wants to break even and have good day out and the other that doesn't give a "flying" and enjoys the craic of the odd track work/stable visit combined with some great banter and grog with like minded people.
I'm in one small(2 yr old Aus)and one large ( jumper uk).
Maybe a purchase at the lower end at the RTR sale could be a starter (all the work done and scope for improvement).
Merry Christmas all

A happy and safe festive season to you all, especially on those NZ roads!
Best of luck on the punt over the holiday season. The jump season is warming up in the NH and I may draw the bow at Kempton on Boxing Day,after a successful assult on the jump season on a Tim Vaughan mare at Donny a couple of weeks ago 🎯.
Some good memories on the punt etc in NZ over the Christmas period. You guy's must have some great stories to share from punts landed(or not landed)over the years.
Cheers🍷🍻

I would have to agree guys, RWC was a money spinner for all bookies concerned. Not that I would put the NZ tab in that class! But it reads like a slight false economy imo.

I was actually trying to place Finche, I’m thinking the Sydney Cup in the Autumn could be his go
Agree VC, Maybe with a wetter track in the autumn. Anyone else notice how this fella throws his near side front?A bit like that Vanessa May's arm playing the fiddle!🎻

It's sunny but not overly warm. I expect it would get to a 5 today. There was a storm here yesterday to add to Saturday's rain. So a 6 is probably about right as of now. Time for the 2yos will probably help decide.
Thanks Mardi, I have some cup anti poste runners, with Raymond Tusk being the best return 80/1🤞

I also like Magic Wand who was my bet for the Cox Plate. But just at assessed price for me. Good luck all.
Mardi, how's the track playing today?
True soft 5/6?
