Hesi
Did anyone go today, who could post the non-spin version Just looking at the turnover figs from the other channel, this meeting cost the industry a lot of money. Apart from the 2 big races(Cup and NZ Stakes), the fields were very ordinary Great to see one of the smaller training operations take out the Cup though Yesterday's meeting was the culmination of Auckland racing's huge summer racing season with ARC chief executive Paul Wilcox suggesting it was one of their best-ever seasons. "We have been blessed with some amazing weather for our best race days and some huge crowds," said Wilcox. "And the standard of racing has been phenomenal so racing is in good heart in Auckland." Freda
I'm giessing the stakes payout vs turnover tells a more accurate story wrt actual revenue.
Midnight Caller
It would be interesting to hear Willie Wilcox thoughts and ideas for the future and how he sees the ARC and industry as a whole in its present form. Any chance of a Q and A invite with him Hesi?
