mardigras
Hey Max - seen the field for the wellington cup yet? The Wellington Cup will likely be full of low rated runners this year.

The strange thing is that traditionally the Cup attracts very large betting. I recall reading about 3 years ago that it attracted the largest betting of any thoroughbred race that season. Pretty competitive looking field - and if the track is in a condition suitable for punting, that'll help.
Bloke
The track is a huge issue. I went last Saturday and only stayed for the first two races as they were running wide. Both races were 1200 metres and I backed horses that had good draws and would be on the speed close to the rail. Silly me!
brown fox
Looks wide open to me.A much better betting proposition than those $1.50 TA benifits.

God only knows what it will be like on the day.

Its a beustiful day here in Trentham....should be a scorcher of a day...around 24-25 degrees. Any moisture should dry out. 10 years to the day since ive been to any gallops meeting, and only been to Trentham once in those years and that was for a funeral. Lincoln King to win the Cup ?
