ngakonui grass
I read that LOTTO NZ is considering whether to introduce playing LOTTO 3 times a week.It may take up to 3/4 years to plan it and get approval for it. Lets hope NZ Racing have seen this and go all out to prevent this if it is possible or introduce some kind of betting that can counteract this move
Hesi
If you recall NG, the TAB introduced Triple Trio a few years ago. The people at NZ Lotteries are still laughing about such an amateurish attempt to compete with them
Hesi
The other aspect to this, looking at the 19/20 Annual report Lotto did 1384 mil in turnover, of which 313 mil was paid to the Lottery Grants Board for distribution to charities etc They spent 20.50 mil on promoting Lotto, basically their marketing budget. That's what you are up against
LookingForValue
The public is largely lazy and like to just buy a ticket for a chance at a large payout. No need for study or worrying about track conditions or anything else. The charity distribution would also be a positive against the dirty, tainted and corrupt racing industry as the public sees it. Lotto will always win hands down

Racing have done NOTHING
Hesi
I thought Lotto may have been close to the top, but it is only 13th on total spend

Also up until recently the TAB charged you for the privilege to deposit online.
ngakonui grass
The people that take the same numbers every draw will be put under pressure for sure, just like they were when 2 draws a week was introduced.
