What is going on in NSW racing

Is this all about V'Landys getting bitter.

Undermining one of the great days on the Aus calendar, Derby Day at Flemington

A R68 race has $200K more in stake money than the G3 Wakeful Stakes???

A race called the Nature Strip Stakes has $1 mil more than the time honoured Coolmore Classic

Can't they work together, this is Flemington's time, always has been.

What next The CUP for 10 mil in Sydney on the first Tues in Nov

The NSW VIC battle will not stop anytime soon ... as long as Vlandy is there it will continue. Ego dominates and NSW want to be the top dog.

VIC has no answer in funding increases and it all comes down to their State funding ability. One seems to be cash rich the other cash strapped.

Attacking MC Day is very sad, but the MC has lost its gloss over the last 15 years so it  was a pretty easy target.

All very sad ... with no answer in sight

Derby Day hasn't lost it's gloss though, other than the effect it has had on NSW horses competing.

Many of those NSW races will eventually drop out of sight, and be a distant memory.  Too much money to sustain long term.

Remember the Kelt Capital Sakes at $2 mil, and how long that lasted

I wonder if Chris Weaver has anything to do with it.

Weaver and The Fat Butcher, what a dynamic duo. Claimed that the Auckland Cup would be "The race that stopped two nations".

In the end those attending Cup Day on a Wednesday were down to a few A Listers and the barmen
