  1. I'd like to think that I provided some motivation 😀👍
  2. Fantastic 🙂 Not as good as 88 at Wembley... but very close! Their concerts are epic.
  3. Yeah they were giving him big ups before the race and he comes to hand quickly after decent breaks, just needs to find a way to go on with it and hold his form for longer campaigns.
  4. Good go Magic and always expected the close finish! I think this comp is going to be the death of me, through alcohol poisoning.. by race 9 every week I'm needing to pour myself a stiff Scotch just to get through the stressful last race! 😀 Although the party definitely started when Think It Over strolled past the post! 🥰 Excellent performance Showtime! did what we needed to do .. just 🙂 .. and conserved energy for next week 😄 Cheers as always PJ 🥂
  5. Nice win for Kylie, Sharne 🙂 and for MMG, she wanted it 🤗
  6. Howdy 🙂 E5: 5-7 E6: 1-2 E7: 2-8 E8: 6-7 .. BB E9: 3-17 F7: 7-9 F8: 1-15 R8: 4-11 R9: 2-5 .. BB R10: 2-5 All the best to you Anita. Let's go Showtime!! 🙂 💃
  7. Miss Potential... fabulous with Reese Jones up .. legend.
  8. Turn me Loose wasn't a shy front runner from memory. There have also been some wonderful front runners especially by the lovely broodmare Parfore - Ball of Muscle, Terravista, Super Easy at times .. Mummify pulls at the heart strings if going trans tasman, and another Trentham fave winter runner, Curiosity 🙂
  9. I'm not sure what's there in Merton Street now, in place of his shoe factory, haven't been down that Street in donkey's years.
  10. Yes he had some good people working for him and riding trackwork over the years which I think helped him out and of course back then we had local identities like the Stammers, Barr, Moynihan and Wylie brigade there with their horses to contribute their sage advice 🙂 I think even Patsy Riley and Bill Wylie's daughter may have done some trackwork riding for him at one stage. He had his stables set up in Tararua Street, right in the middle of the Trentham metropolis, half the urban street about 300m was lined with a high corrugated iron fence like a gang headquarters 🙂
  11. Could very well have been 🙂 He used to try so hard, and stretch out so much that his nose would go down to nearly ground level 🙂
  12. Cuss 🙂 and they found it very hard to run him down in the Trentham mud 🙂
  13. Yes gotta love that broodmare line 🙂 I think it definitely contributed to their staying ability 🙂
  14. He also left a nice broodmare in Society Lass... that's something 🙂
  15. Yes that's what I was thinking, New York state
  16. Yes me too, over in the North East I was thinking.
  17. Just as an aside, for those that love the breeding side of things, great article 🙂 https://www.stuff.co.nz/southland-times/sport/10587449/Barman-in-cups-calculations
  18. He won the New Zealand Cup and Wellington Cup 🙂 1981 Melbourne Cup being the third?
  19. Looking at those silks, I'll have a stab at Koiro Trelay and that could be Trentham I think.
  20. Cheers for the match Old Mate 🙂 Roll on next week 💃🥂
