No dramas, it was clearly our fault for not checking.
I did expend a lot of energy pushing Snapped down the straight for a win 😅 but apart from that no damage was done.
Yes I thought it was very brave of those that followed my post to select #3, given that I am 0-6 for the first race since starting last month.
in fact I set a record yesterday of not getting any of my 5 selections in a place.
Even Madison Rose went from a game 3rd at Riccarton to a 46 length effort at Riverton in the space of a week.
Cairns will be interesting, they should put a croc or two behind my picks and give them some "incentive" to go faster!
When we were kids we used to play a game called "Around the world" (like ludo on steriods) and after a few games of that you got to know all the country capital cities. Now days many kids (and adults) cannot even point to a country let a alone a city on a map.
Children are competitive and love games, despite the academics frowning on competition because someone loses.
Interesting perspectives on the race.
I was too busy watching my two in PJ's comp: La Crique and Campionessa, from the top of the straight.
They spent most of the first half of the straight fighting each other and I was surprised Campionessa got even close to winning. If the jockeys had been more interesting in the finishing line than stopping the other, things may have been different.
As a punter... I saw almost the same scenario a couple of years back (and mine moved out far less) and mine got put out. All I want is consistency.
