  1. No dramas, it was clearly our fault for not checking. I did expend a lot of energy pushing Snapped down the straight for a win 😅 but apart from that no damage was done.
  2. Looking at the selections for the last race you posted before the “last” race, I think Gordy and I were not the only ones who picked R7.
  3. R1: 2, 3, 7 R2: 3, 6, 8 R3: 1, 3, 5 R4: 1, 4, 6 BB R5: 6, 11, 14 R6: 1, 2, 12 R7: 3, 4, 7 thanks PJ
  4. You mean I finally got a R1 place getter and I am still "the rest" ?
  5. Yes I thought it was very brave of those that followed my post to select #3, given that I am 0-6 for the first race since starting last month. in fact I set a record yesterday of not getting any of my 5 selections in a place. Even Madison Rose went from a game 3rd at Riccarton to a 46 length effort at Riverton in the space of a week. Cairns will be interesting, they should put a croc or two behind my picks and give them some "incentive" to go faster!
  6. R1: 3probably won’t be needed….R2: 2R3: 2R4: 4R5: 4thanks PJ
  7. Thats a bit like asking who will win the next election here and giving us Labour, the Greens and Te Pati Maori as the only choices…
  8. R1: 3 and if needed…. R2: 9 R3: 7 R4: 8 R5: 3 thanks PJ
  9. I look forward to the day I get past leg 1. The champagne stays on ice.
  10. I had Robert down as the BB quinella in R8 at Te Rapa PJ. I check might sink me way further…
  11. R1: 5 R2: 1 R3: 13 R4: 4 R5: 6 Anzac armchair day, so watching racing… Thanks PJ
  12. Glad to bring out the best in my opposition. Who is the lucky person next week?
  13. Well stop winning then. Then you will be able to play all the jokers you want. 🤔
  14. Me again PJ 🤭 Still climbing Everest…. Jack posted a scratching for me in R8 and it was #12 Giga Kick…
  15. I have a mountain to climb PJ, so can you check if I had the quinella in the last too please?
  16. A couple of interesting Dream Team “team” picks….
  17. When we were kids we used to play a game called "Around the world" (like ludo on steriods) and after a few games of that you got to know all the country capital cities. Now days many kids (and adults) cannot even point to a country let a alone a city on a map. Children are competitive and love games, despite the academics frowning on competition because someone loses.
  18. Interesting perspectives on the race. I was too busy watching my two in PJ's comp: La Crique and Campionessa, from the top of the straight. They spent most of the first half of the straight fighting each other and I was surprised Campionessa got even close to winning. If the jockeys had been more interesting in the finishing line than stopping the other, things may have been different. As a punter... I saw almost the same scenario a couple of years back (and mine moved out far less) and mine got put out. All I want is consistency.
  19. No just down the road from Stratford-upon-Avon Rees, but scored high marks at Mt. Albert Grammar school in English.
  20. It is not often you absolutely don’t want your horses to win !
