I should have looked up the records for Rose Mellay, as I thought she was trained by Errol Skelton, but the result shows she was trained by Ray Wallace when she won the Cup. In his obituary Skelton is mentioned as the trainer of Rose Mellay in the AK Cup. Also named as trainer in Bob Skeltons obituary.
