The latest update r B Yole & Tassie racing. Is a new rule has been made, this is to promote intergrity & fairness & participation.

No trainer is allowed to have more than 50% of runners.

So if there are 11 starters the max any 1 trainer can have or have in their care is 5.

Not sure when this rule comes into play.

Brave decision.

Interesting. But doubt it will work.

I wonder if B Yole has a wife/husband, kids, that may possibly take out their own trainer's license?

Can see it happening a mile off, he'll have half the field, and some family connection of his, will have the other half.

True & answer is yes. Perhaps need to amend the rule even further then somehow.

The proposed(?), or incoming rule, is clearly taking aim at him, isn't it? And if it wasn't for him, there would be no need to introduce such a rule.

So maybe a better, more watertight rule, would be to limit the number of horses any one trainer could have registered in their name at any one time, and also have tighter controls over the standard of conditions for horses at a trainer's stable.

Eg. Requirement to have boxes, roofed stables, with no more than x number of horses per hectare, adequate food, grass, and horses must not been seen eatting horse excrement.

Or even better, just take his licence from him altogether, and go after his arse from an animal welfare perspective.

Ben Yole , Australia's current leading faux pas trainer, has 2 brothers Mark and Tim.

Mark Yole is an exceptional driver already and does train in his Own right already , a small team.

Tim Yole only drives if he has too, Usually after Ben has rounded up 11 drivers for his horses to give instructions to in a 12 horse field, he will come in as the '12th man' lol.

I have No trouble with that outcome if Karrots is correct in that a Trainer can have only half the runners in a field , Even if the other half are a relative.

If Ben and say Mark Yole had 6 runners each training, to make up a race field, Sibling rivalry competition might kick in . And racing is all about competition. At least its not one trainer dishing out instructions to the whole field of drivers (like is happening now) which by definition = Race Fixing (a crime)

Just reading in old recent news the guy Greyhound guy that was operating more dogs without an approved license to operate as many as he did. Is no longer allowed to slaughter horses on his property for dog consumption.

Lovely isnt it.

A lifetime ban for B Yole. Says he can appeal it. If you take a look under his profile he hasnt had a runner for a number of days & no runners anytime soon. Lightning recall u saying u wrote into Tasmania stewards, racing & so on to no avail.

Better late than never. If you take a look up this thread a new rule indicated no trainer to have more than 1/2 field pending conditions such as if race wouldnt get off ground. A race tomorrow all scratched bar 1. Inhightsight should they have implemented that rule without conditions?

1 horse fields yesterday too. Yay the good guys win :-)

Gawd blimey whats going on here?

Looks like Yole is back. How did that happen? But again a bunch of scratched runners. Cant keep up with this debacle.

His brother & Ford brothers also got warned off. Looks like his Father took over briefly his horses, how bad having rules allowing that.

What a saga. Should be simple. What a circus.
