  1. I give up. Harpers Siren pulled its head off. I might start a place 5 at the trots, couldn't be any more frustrating than this caper.
  2. Their coach has a sublime tactical nous. They immediately changed to a 4-4-2 when their player got sent off to counter the Nigerian attack. They would now be my fav to win it, but I would dearly love to see the Aussies cause a boilover.
  3. What I thought was a defining moment at the end of the penalty shootout, and separates the men's game from the women's was two of the England girls consoling the Nigerian goalkeeper when they could have kept on dancing around the park and celebrating. Nice touch. And LB , I hope the Matildas carry on the good form.
  4. A hunch away games would prevail worked. Don't bet so give my 10 bucks to Rusty ,Hesi. ๐Ÿ‘
  5. Yep, yay. "yank my doodle its a dandy", goodbye ๐Ÿ™‹โ€โ™€๏ธ
  6. That was a most nerve racking start to the comp and one hell of a game today. Still not sure of the outcome apart from 3 of us having the winner in the last, so might make a bigger total and bonus point if we have lost. Great game KK,s.
  7. R1 1-2 R2 4-7 R3 4-5 R4 4-6 R5 5-15 BB R6 6-12 R7 4-9 R8 4-11 R9 5-11 R10 2-16 BB All the best Sharne. Always a tough opponent.
  8. There is the difference between NZ strikers or the dearth of them and Australia. Sam Kerr, has scored 60 plus goals for the Matildas, and their other two up front showed just as much skill against Denmark. Hannah Wilkinson does not rate at all .
  9. Hope you screenshotted that Robert. Someone beat you to the punch. You saw it here first folks๐Ÿคฃ
  10. And some absolute pearlers by the Japanese girls against Spain. They look very good at finishing and very fast on their feet. At 8/1 odds a value bet.
  11. Scratching Race 1 Race 4 Wyong. No 3 out No 5 in. Thnks PJ
  12. Sea Eagles, Warriors, Panthers, Broncos, Knights, Sharks, Eels, Raiders. A lot of away wins coming up(hopefully)
  13. We do, but we also need a midfield to supply good ball, and apart from our wingers who occasionally supplied crosses, the midfield did diddly squat. Sadly lacking unfortunately.Longo and Percival were underwhelming, and poor coaching decision to let a leg tired player take a penalty. Hasset at least had some pace and Olivia Chance looked good on the ball .
  14. Apart from being negative , what I have enjoyed is seeing the utter delight on the faces of some of the lesser teams when scoring or even winning a game they weren't supposed to. Morocco bouncing back from 6 nil to Germany ,to beat Sth Korea a prime example, and dare I say it the Philippines beating us. Some would say that the quality isn't there for a genuine 32 team comp, but some of these girls are experiencing a once in a lifetime opportunity playing against opposition they could only dream of outside their own regional areas. And one only improves by testing yourself in areas you haven't been tested before. Woman's football can only be stronger for this type of format. Good on them.
  15. No they weren't comfortable at times, but all they had to do was put up a massive D effort which they did, and then score when it mattered, which they did with ease. And let's not forget they went over for two disallowed tries as well. Australian rugby apart from the heart we were shown on Sat, doesn't have any answers and it starts at their grass roots level. 39 days to us meeting France , so Max pencil it in.
  16. Sorry Max but heroines score goals (plural), and she looked a bit lazy on it to be honest. There are some who should be shown the door after this world cup, and build for the next with some young talent coming through. They had their chances ,but thats football.
  17. Have a look at the Germany /Colombia game. That's finishing at its best by the Colombian women, a real peach the first one and a great header the second. That's what we need.
  18. I am surprised they didn't drag Wilkinson off,who just seemed to hover around the front waiting for some miracle ball, and give Millie Cleg a go up front. A rising star with finishing skills. Some real finds though with Hand ,CJ Bott and Katie Bowen in the back. Cause for some encouraging results in the future.
