  2. My horse I backed. He is a rider you take your chances on. I commented on a couple a while ago that he never tried in the home straight and they came out next start to win a big odds. He was questioned over the rides. He was once again questioned on his riding tactics on EQ during the race.
  3. Thanks for the congrats, appreciate it.

  6. "(It was) established that whilst Terry Treichel has been licensed and riding as a jockey under that name, he had previously changed his name by deed poll and is now identified as Daniel Jack Smith and he has been operating the betting accounts under that name." Stewards discovered that the veteran jockey was riding as Treichel, but betting as Smith, and he was subsequently hit with 32 charges relating to betting and false declaration." https://www.punters.com.au/news/name-change-jockey
  7. Yes I agree, horse still runs 5th and gets no pay out. Should be compensated as others were disadvantaged who placed and collected. Poor show once again.
  8. My horse was scratched after the event, was going pretty well too. Watch next start.
  9. "It is believed the name comes from the title of the popular Manga comic book Sumomomo Momomo: The Strongest Bride on Earth. That name was based on the Japanese tongue twister: Sumomo mo momo, momo mo momo, sumomo mo momo mo momo no uchi, which means plums are peaches, and peaches are peaches, and plums and peaches are both types of peaches."

  14. ** Dangerous and life-threatening flash flooding for the NSW Coast **Torrential rain is likely over parts of the New South Wales coast over the next few days, with warnings for dangerous and life-threatening flash flooding and moderate to major riverine flooding in some areas.A coastal trough is generating widespread rain across central east and northeast NSW today, with more than 100mm already falling in the Kempsey region since 9am today (to 2pm EDT). Heavy rainfall will continue today and into Friday and Saturday, with a low pressure system set to form within the trough and track south down the coast.Warnings have been issued by the Bureau of Meteorology warning for dangerous and life-threatening flash flooding over the Mid North coast and northern Hunter districts, particularly from Friday when the low forms. Widespread falls of 100-200mm are likely over the next 48 hours in these regions, with some areas possibly seeing in excess of 400mm. With coastal catchments already saturated, this is likely to push many areas into moderate flood, and some catchments into major flood.

I haven't seen the race but his effort from the 600m-200m was different to how he usually runs. Race time he can run but the profile of the race perhaps his undoing because of firmer track?

  20. Racing Victoria stewards are investigating claims of embryo transplantation at Ultra Thoroughbreds, owned by multi-millionaire businessman and entrepreneur Sean Buckley. Among the claims, it’s suspected Ultra Thoroughbreds used surrogates for champion mare Miss Andretti, as well as Strikeline – the dam of last year’s Australian Horse of the Year, Nature Strip – who were struggling to conceive. Embryo transplantation is forbidden in the racing and breeding industry. https://www.theage.com.au/sport/racing/racing-victoria-investigating-suspected-use-of-surrogates-in-breeding-20210216-p572zu.html
