    I don’t think that there is any doubt that the rest of the world have improved. Pretty hard to beat SA with 14.

    I do think you are ignoring one fact. Our depth is still better than the rest of the world (maybe bar SA) which could be key in a tournament. Ireland for example are probably still going to have to play there top team (or close to it )against Tonga.

    Who is everyone predicting to win the comp? I like the look of the Sharks and Broncos. If I was looking for someone at longer odds I think the Raiders at $36.00 ($41 offshore) are worth a bet and could potentially make the top 4.

    Agreed Ngakonui, it's a bit over the top that 8 out of 12 teams make it to the playoffs.

    I wasn’t sure if I was watching league or bull rush with the number of them that there were. There were at least ten but a lot didn’t make it on to the pitch.

    I find it strange that Rocco Berry’s try was sent up a try and the bunker can rule that the ball didn’t touch a blade of grass but they can’t rule on a blatant forward pass. I get it’s a bit niggly with some forward passes but surely they should be able to rule on it if it’s clear and obvious.
