Was on the road today and stopped off in Foxton. Thought I would check if there was a pub that had a tab or a self service machine. I was quite surprised that there didn’t seem to be one (on the TAB website at least) or either of the pubs I called into. I would have thought there would be reasonable demand for a machine in the town somewhere as there is a race course(albeit unused) and plenty of greyhounds were trained there so plenty of racing folk.

I find live betting approval very slow compared to overseas operators. Particularly if there is a change in odds and they seem to suspend betting quite a lot more than other operators. They have tried to address this with a couple of settings that you can change.

Good post mate, totally agree with you. Granted this is not one of the great ABs sides you only need to look at Australia VS Italy or Wales VS Georgia to see that the gap between the top 4-5 and the next 10-15 sides has closed massively. Although I think we lack a world class player or two at the moment we still have the best depth by a country mile (look at Irelands second 15 last week) and that will really help us come World Cup time.

Starship has clarified there position. It was more around the fact it was a large off shore donation and not enough time to verify it.

He said it was quite a short window he had to select the charity and there was a bit of back and forwards between him and starship so I’m guessing he rant out of time to select another nz charity or was worried about the same thing happening.

Slightly off topic but he basically confimed Geo Blocking going a head in that interview didn't he.

If the main aim of geo blocking is because it’s not a level playing field and that they don’t contribute to the problem gambling levy Why not just level playing field and make those offshore bookmakers pay a more realistic fee for the product. If they refuse then by all means geo block them. Some may also decide it’s not worth paying the additional fee and drop NZ racing from there wagering. I have and do bet offshore funnily enough since the tab dropped there deposit fee and got a lot more competitive with there promos etc I’ve found myself doing the bulk of my betting with them. I’ve also got a couple of bets with offshore bookmakers on options that potentially don’t settle till 2025 what happens with them if I’m geo blocked?
