Watching the brilliant David Bowie documentary/film Moonage Daydream over the past week or so - an enthralling experience if you are a fan. So here's 6 samplings of the great man across the years...

First: The Laughing Gnome, Bowie's first release at the age of 20 (1967)

Second: Starman from The Ziggy Stardust era (1972)

Third: Station To Station from the Thin White Duke stage when he was living in Berlin (1976-77) - listen to this in headphones it will melt your brain

Fourth: China Girl from his New Romantic phase (1977-78) - filmed in Oz

Fifth: Where Are We Now from 2013 - such a sad song

Sixth: Blackstar - basically a short film and his final release when he knew he was dying (the symbolism is incredible) - actually released two days before his passing

Thank you David for a lifetime of colour, memories and sounds
