ngakonui grass
All this guessing on top jocks made methink of the most winningest jockey i have legged onto a horse. Yutaka Take the Japanese champ at Ellerslie in 1990 wins by a country mile.

PWJ
Here's today's teaser. This might be a tricky one. The filly pictured was a Champion at ages 3 & 4. She was later the dam of an unraced son who stood at stud in NZ. As a broodmare she was an abject failure leaving only one winner of two minor races in France. Who is she and who was the son ? PWJ
One clue - she is the 6th dam of a mare at Arrowfield. In fact I'm looking at her in a paddock across the road

PWJ
That's an extremely good guess given all the clues but it's not correct. Try a little earlier. Small clue: the mare in the paddock here today was bred by the son and grandson of the breeders of the mare in the photo.
