  1. Lets see if we can stop the rout in the last two.
  2. Does anyone get that nagging feeling we may be getting a runner up prize today. 🥴
  3. He seems like he has plenty of integrity and an understated persona. Unlike that numbskull Jones . And obviously a very good resume. It would be nice to see Aussie back competing again ,but with the state of their feeder system from juniors (or lack of) good luck to him, he is going to need it in spades.
  4. At first I got out the shovel to start filling in the hole , but thought hmmm ,still nine races to catch that total. Thanks for making the day interesting Gordy. NOT. 🤪
  5. R1 3-10 R2 3-6 R3 3-12 R4 7-13 R5 2-6 R6 6-10 BB R7 2-7 R8 4-7 BB R9 1-6 R10 1-4 Go well guys up against a Triple Joker today. All the best Gordy. And cheers PJ as always.
  6. Gonna put my reputation on the line tonight (presuming I have got one at all) CAMBRIDGE R1 7 Jocas Hill Nicely bred, but iffy in its gait so far, but talented enough to blouse this lot. 1rst $2.20 $1.60 R2 3 Shez The One Did it tough as fav last time and I love the Sweet Lou,s 3rd $1.90 R3 10 Alana 8 win horse down in grade in a mediocre field. 4th R4 1 Xcite Me Out of Alta Serena, and good draw 5th R5 8 Majestic Ruby Should be thereabouts second up. 2nd $2.70 R6 5 The Surfer Talented looking horse and best draw yet. 1rst $1.90 $1.50 R7 6 D.J.Rock Shown enough in a limited career to do well here. 3rd $3.10 R8 3 Sweet Olivia Very risky but has heaps of ability 2nd $2.50 R9 5 Lou Baby Stick to my Sweet Lou,s 1rst $1.60 $1.00 Bolted in. R10 11 Ima Sporty Angel Wide draw but has shown enough to do well here, with the right run. ----- R11 2 Montana D.J Running minor placings and not out of turn for a win. 1rst $3.10 $2.00 Four wins, two seconds , two thirds . $1 each way. 10 cent profit for the night. Probably a waste of time with such short divvies.

    A question

My take on it and I am using experience here talking to my son in law is that (and PJ may agree here) a horse can be selected on confirmation first and then pedigree. Pedigree alone guarantees nothing. Andrew only has a cursory look at the sales catalogue, and then views every horse and makes notes, which he takes into the auction ring. Tavistock was a prime example of sight first and bought on that premise, and the fairy tale began. $57 grand for 2.5% share in a nag chosen by someone you don't know ,relying on their reputation alone, a yearling to boot, so anything can go wrong before it hits the track so its potentially a money hole. . My presumption is that there is no insurance on your investment, someone could elaborate for me on that. It never ceases to amaze me the amount money spent on thoroughbreds. Much cheaper for us gypsies.
  8. It was the first thing I thought of Hesi. I never bought into the stress excuse. Some underlying character traits that haven't been dealt with and were exacerbated by a "cant touch me " mentality in a position of power maybe. ?. Pity really for an obviously intelligent /attractive human being.
  9. Hey Mardy, just an idea . I used to put up 2nd and 3rd placings as well in the totals. So far today you have two seconds already, and they do count in the dollar totals in the end . Just an idea.
  10. Close , I always take Kelly Schweida horses and this had a decent draw, at great odds . Great minds think alike.
  11. Mobile starts would solve this problem.
  12. That reminds me of my trip to the quack for the water and back works. He asked me if the peeing was working and I stated yes, I pee every. morning at 7.30. And your pooing ?. Yep regular as clockwork, 8.30 every morning. So what seems to be the problem he asked . Well, I don't get up till 9.30 I replied.
  13. I was expecting the siren to sound. My horse Lincoln Kruze was nearly squeezed over the running rail, was fighting to stay off it but he had to reign him back and clipped the heels as he pulled him away from the fence/. Demolition Derby that was.
  14. I know Alby personally. A real good bugger. And what a price ,as he rates the horse and in his own stomping ground.
  15. Right ,let's give it death. R1 3-6 R2 2-13 R3 8-10 R4 2-12 R5 3-4 BB R6 3-10 R7 4-5 R8 2-14 R9 2-9 R10 8-14 BB Go well guys . All the best LB.
  16. My last year at Rongotai College and an enduring memory as they trained on our main rugby ground.
  17. Couldn't possibly comment , needless to say some village is missing a certain person .
  18. No doubt I have been kicked to touch after the last effort, Maria. Even I wouldn't have picked me. 🥴
  19. Don't look at mine ---please.😉
  20. You could have replaced Trevor Mallard as speaker of the house with those comments Hesi. 🤪
  21. Good convict material eh!.
  22. Correct. How could I forget. Hope you have noticed the reversal in form Maria ??????
