  1. How would you know, ? probably, probably not. Hypothetical question, unanswerable in the extreme. Does this strengthen your argument for weight making a difference, I doubt it.
  2. Yes he is , but that "engrained " was worked out over many years and logged ,and stands apart from your engrained thoughts, and most punters. . He makes money by finding value , over a period of time which includes losing quite a bit at times but which realises a profit ( probably a handsome one) over time. And he does this without all the preconceived ideas that you lot have about weight, barriers etc. The operative word here is VALUE. Some on here have been indoctrinated so heavily it would take a debrief by the CIA to change. . So he can't give you any tips LB unless you want to spend a lot/lose a lot?, but still make a profit. As far as Trots go , from my perspective it is way too complicated to apply the same rules, and too many permutations in transit in a race to be even remotely confident. Thieves on wheels comes to mind. Interesting listening to everybody's opinion on this, as long as we all agree to disagree and retain some sort of civility.
  3. Didnt worry me either, until after the first race and 600 bucks down.🥴
  4. Cambridge 21-3-24 R1 3 Commander Lincoln (Good chance in even field) 2nd R2 7 Lovemeagain ( Has shown considerable ability, and must go close again) 1rst $2.90 R3 6 Potter ( Has quick gate speed , and a Sweet Lou) a very disappointing weak effort R4 1 Lenny Lincoln (Carried a flat tyre last time , good chance off the ace and Zac up) 1rst $3.80 R5 7 Royal Action ( Must trot all the way, but capable of taking this out) 4th R6 5 Cyren Shard (Value bet, broke on the mobile in the slush last time, sticking with it) 4th R7 4 Precious Bet (Progressive sort, and 3rd up from the Telfer barn) 4th R8 1 Bigger The Bettor ( Must be in this from the draw, after wide draws the last couple) 3rd Disappointing end to the night. Wins 2 Thirds 1 Spent $80 Return $67 Loss $13 Total Races 113 wins 27 2nds 19 3rds 24 Overall loss $55 Cant find a BB
  5. He's Australian , yabba ,yabba, yabba. A good bloke and a Harness nut as well. 👍
  6. So you naturally asked the horse if the weight was too much for it.? C,mon LB, wild assumptions again and guesses. So if the two meet again and Imperatriz wins with a bigger weight your argument becomes a flaming wreck on the ground. But we digress of course , and in Mardi.s world was there value to be had taking into account all the factors he uses. I doubt it, probably never went near the race. My son in law trained TB,s and had some pearlers (eg Tavistock )and even he admitted, to a degree weight did not make much difference to a 400-600 kg horse with the low difference in the pull in weights nowadays.
  7. Really, I concur with Pete on this. It might pay to go back and re-read some of Mardigras posts and explanations on his modus operandi in finding value . You are obviously completely lost in this case . Only Mardi could elaborate or reply but Im sure he can't be bothered in light of the ignorance shown.
  8. Great, top of the Magnificent 7, should add handsomely to the total this week. Thanks PJ. Got the box sorted for the hat ?.😉
  9. Well papercuts do hurt don't they.!!!! Remember the song well though. Speaking of Cockneys, my best mate when living in Sydney in my late teens was one, and used to crack me up at times. " Oi, i'm just slipping on my daisy roots, then im off round the johnny horner ,down the apple and pears, into a sherbet dab and down the dilly." Work that one out. lol
  10. Well done Anita, but the average was 350 so thanks for the xtra 8 bucks.😉Sorry $8.20. uh-hm . YYeeeeehhhaaa Seagulls, just got home from a free night out at Lonestar, and what a great win guys . Knew we had it in us ,and now we can launch into the finals. 👍
  11. Pride of Jenni, what a run. Demolition job.
  12. Get a wiggle on Anita, I need an average of $350, so counting on you.
  13. Scr replacement . Trentham Race 6 No 1 out No 5 in. Cheers PJ
  14. Just a quick note, for anyone watching. I do my initial assessments first, and then go over them a second time a while later ,taking into account a whole raft of permutations, and trying to find value where I can instead of favs, and still maintain some sort of return. I have been caught on numerous occasions of late ,changing my mind and getting stung. Tonight it was Hughie Wallace instead of my original pick Luby Lil. Yesterday it was two changes , Johnny Who for Jocas Hill(1rst) and Baileys Pitch for Molly Belwin(1rst), the first night at Palmy it was Million Dollar Chic for Apple Of My Eye (1rst). Thats racing of course, but might tweak it next time around and go each way instead of win only. 👍
  15. I will be following yr picks closely tomorrow Anita, so I expect a bold showing.👍 R1 1-7 R2 1-5 R3 1-9 R4 1-6 R5 1-10 R6 1-6 BB R7 1-4 R8 1-12 R9 1-16 R10 5-13 BB Go number one , (apart from the last) ,best of luck guys .

( Brilliant run from way back ) R7 1 Chase A Dream ( Drop on Cold Chisel from the draw) --- Purdon got caught that time, but Nathan on fire . R8 5 Old Town Road ( One of my fav horses ,but does have some niggles and they may take it easy on him, but class should prevail) 1rst $1.30 R9 6 Inasinglemoment (Going places this trotter and my BB) 1rst $2.10 Wins 3 Seconds 1 Thirds 1 Spent $100 Return $71 Loss $29 Double up on BB. 20. The Media has earned a reputation for one sided biased journalism and then wonder why they go out of business, aka Newshub. Frankly the lack of reply's to this heading says it all. Nobody gives a shit.

Manawatu 12-3-24 R1 4 Kiss My Pixels (Not the worst, but must trot all the way) 1rst $8.30 R2 5 Sweet Olivia ( Not a deep field, and Orange up for S Doody) ----- R3 8 Dom Toretto (Drawn to get a nice run through, and a Sweet Lou) 1rst $4.20 R4 2 Million Dollar Chic ( Progressive sort, Orange again for S Doody) ------ R5 1 No Added Sugar ( Last chance saloon for this horse, especially from the ace) ------- R6 2 Call Security (Another open field , with Butcher up is a plus) 3rd R7 2 Commander Lincoln (Improver at odds) ------ R8 5 Warloch ( Should be close, Orange on board a plus) pphhhtttt.
