Hesi
He seems to call a spade a spade, without too much of the flowery language People in the past have bitched about the 'suits' in NZ running the industry, having no interest in horses or no knowledge of wagering. You can't level those 2 criticisms against him

You can't level those 2 criticisms against him I agree. Be interesting to see what their new platform looks like. More money wasted on the current TAB platform. I loved the phrase 'more generosities'. Do bookies even know the meaning of the word?
Globederby19
He is also a Harness fan/owner. Hopefully that bias spills over into our Harness industry. Interesting times , as with ATC shooting themselves in the foot, Cambridge Raceway could be the recipient of some good times ahead.

Yes a terrific bloke at supporting the industry in both countries. racing horses in Qld for a lot of years with Daryll Graham . Been trying to sell his Montana Lodge stud at Melaney for many years , as the business commitments see him in the city most of the time. So buys yearlings at the Nz sales these days to race with Barry Purdon and Scott Phelan. a couple of fillies racing in the Group 1's too. best horse 'Merlin' doing a great job with winning the Great Northern Derby .now with 11 wins from 15 and $400k in the bank so far. might of met his match with Marks 'Don't Stop Dreaming ' though? , but you never know at Nz Derby time , he could still be a chance.
