curious
A huge win for a lot of little people. Well done Colin and Alan. Sorry. Not very racing related but since this was posted here ... 🙂 siohanr_20-02-2020_14-04-59.pdf- Alan Dall.pdf
Freda
Yes, good on them. Had heard Alan was facing a problem, and that Col had gone to bat for him. Loves a stoush, does Colin...! Thought his submission sounded ok too.
Freda
Had to bump this up.... a polarising influence indeed, was Colin...he was a good owner for all that, although became a challenge towards the end...! and had many arguments with Mardi about betting matters. He got those quite wrong, and, as is his manner, refused to concede a point at any stage. However, it strikes me that with other matters, he got things largely right ......small club funding and fortunes going forward, dropping foal crops, rorts and kickbacks at sales, lack of documentation wrt over overseas sales - all sorts of things he picked and got right, well in advance. Hesi
Deja vu, refusing to concede a point at any stage My view on Mardi is quite straightforward. He has been punting for 20 years, makes a living off it, his modus operandi is very sophisticated, to the extent his operation is computerised, and he challenges anything you might say(agree or disagrees), with backup data. With his input and also that from people like Barry and Curious, I am slowly moving my focus to looking for value, and when you do that, one thing starts to stick out.....all the horses that are not value

Generally enjoyed debating topics with Colin, even if we could be quite opposite at times. A bit like me, quite opinionated, and as you say, quite knowledgeable
