2yo Jewels - Addington early Dec - Updates on HRNZ don’t look to be up-to-date. Looks like has been updated, then updates stopped. Last nites 2yo winner not on there, nor is Colonel Lincoln who has won a race.  No info either on final date to qualify - Q. Are they still on? Whats the final date to qualify?

Q. How do you watch Harness Race Chat show online e.g. (You Tube) other than having to log in on Facebook? Is there a link?

Posted the other day, re Inca charges all dropped. Q. Is this true?

Q. Where is everyone - Hibernating in winter?

Q. What has been happening in past 3 months? Lightening said Bolt for Brilliance won Rowe Cup. And Aussie took out a top race. What else? Highlights - past 3 months?

Looks like weanling sale was a good one. High prices by the looks. Q. What was a driving factor of that?

Ok next Question. Who's current top 2 y/o per sex, per gait? See a horse Dont Stop Dreaming is in on the scene. Will do points. These are not designed to be trick questions 😀

Points so far Lightning 2 points - giving Highlight B4B Rowe Cup. Aussie taking out Messenger. Will give myself 1 point for answering guessing todays question.

Sunday 4th December is Jewels date. Will guess & say YES 2yo Jewels are still on but HRNZ have forgotten to update ... So thats another point for me for answering. Karrots 2 points.

Going with Merlin, Forever Me (NORTH) and High Energy, Maxwell Edison (LEADERS ON BOARD). Any other picks/selections?

Here is the most updated - but not up-to-date Jewels leader board. image.thumb.png.ad231cdd79fe0e7ecfa48bcd996c7582.png

Next question/s.

1. When is Copy That back?

2. How did an Aussie (Majestic Cruiser) come & beat the Kiwis on home soil?

3. Who is current best horse in Aussie?

Ill answer Q3. SPIRIT 😀 Results show he won last nite. BEAT Majestic Crusier.

Fun facts re Spirit. Followed him from day dot (as he is by Sweet Lou). He never raced in any age group races. With exceptions 2 lesser races eg The race where sires fee is under a certain amount & a 3yo race in South, where horses had to have had at least 2 Southern Starts.

He started off with nice form 1121 or similiar & showed promise. But for whatever reason connections kept him away from racing the Top his age One Change & Copy That & co. When he could no longer dodge open class he started at Addington against the big guns, he was crippled by draw. And raced well considering but never in it. He was then transfered up to North Island. And competed at Alex for his final starts in NZ, but was never any match for Copy That placing 3rd.

Fast forward & he is a 5yo & Aussies best current horse IMO.

4. How will he go against Copy That now?

Any answers are welcome/guesses.

'Spirit Of St Louis' winning last night in Brisbane is indeed getting good results now the old Stablemate KING OF SWING has retired. but beware of another former NZer in the McCarthy barn , MACH SHARD , who has blown them away in Brisbane as well recently . The one to beat in the Big Constellation Carnival about to go at Albion.

SELF ASSURED easily the best in NZ , (confirmed by stunning Auckland Cup win for Nat recently) He won the million dollar RACE as well at Cambridge , beating Majestic Cruiser  when driven by Mark.

Marky Boy got a suspension so the iceman TonyH drove Self Assured in the Taylor Mile and Messenger when SA was defeated in April after The Race. That was a very lucky break for Majestic Cruiser who took the Messenger Win on your Home soil lol.... , IMO if Mark was driving SA , the result could of been 2 more wins for the Champion . (Mark knows the horse best being reason)

Answer time.

1. Amatuer Drivers Series. On over 3 days at Cambridge Thurs, Addington Fri, Addington Sun. (Listened to a short 3 min interview yesterday about it). Teams from North & South compete.

2. A Fitzgerald took victory last year. (remember that Lightning. To recap started a thread on series last year (not here) & was supporting him as he was a poster albeit occassional one). He used to get picked on, (never understood why - other than because he posted using his real name. so thought be nice to show support in comp for him). He skyed away to a handy lead in the opening rounds. Maintain lead in middle rounds, altho some competitors started to close the gap. Final day, his tactics were to get as many points as he could, to try to hold lead, from a potential fast finishing Wigg. He did managed to pick up the odd point or 2, which saw him hold on, as Wigg won either the 2nd last or last race.

3. Not sure - but suspect that until draws are out with horses a winner could be anyone (think they make the draw as fair as poss). Wigg usually does well, so will be the potential main threat.

4. They were saying in interview they hoped for support from trainers & clubs to hold $10k races & get enough horses. My guess is they should do at Cambridge, but not sure 100% sure. As not sure of horse numbers at Camb recently. Addington guess so.

5. Guess here, doubt it lol.

PS Good luck to all competitors.

Fitzgerald certainly has some idea when it comes to race driving. Notice he ran 2nd the other night to Sheryl Wigg (a professional still driving as an amatuer) who won by many lengths. Seems a little unfair to me. Makes a living from harness racing so how holds amatuer status still is not quite right somehow.

Bad news on the Sweet Lou front with SUGAR APPLE resuming at Albion last Saturday night and running unplaced for the first time. Possibly needed the run . I do notice the colt was racing all over the NSW countryside in Summer (winning) and was beaten at the Metro Menangle track. Grimson still got it developing though I guess.

Todays question - come on RP folk, how good is your current affairs in Harness?

Q. Who is the trainer currently in North America that has started a Harness app? The app is being used by trainers Down Under & in North America. It is a great easy way to pump out information, race pix, videos & so forth on each horse that is loaded on the app, save dealing with each owner if there are 100 owners in 1 horse. This saves time for trainers. - Hint this person used to train in NZ

Q. What journo (A) is publicly calling for the Lincoln Farms journo (B) along with Lincoln Farms, to be punished & be stopped in their tracks by the RIB. Due to them publicly calling into question the stripes decision on McKendry drive (Simply Sam)?

2nd part of question - Could this be considered hypocrisy?

Hint - Journo (A) was the journo that publicly called into question the stripes decision on High Flying Harry case that Journo B has used as a comparison.

There are not many harness journos anymore but whoever it is must be a clown.

Heres another hint - an example of an article written by journo A

"A few days ago I told you the story about how RIB adjudicator named xyz stuffed up a RIB hearing involving a horse named High Flying Harry".

Here is another headline by Journo A

"Enough is enough - The xyz Steward must be sacked".

As you can see these are 2 examples of journo A calling into question stripes decision. Which is what journo B has done re Mckendry/Simply Sam case = called into question stripes decision.

YES journo A is suggesting journo B gets pulled up for it.

Far Too Much gets the answer correct.

Here is the headline.

“The RIB must take immediate action against Lichter & the Lincoln Farmers - If it doesn’t then its open season on the stewards - and on the integrity board itself”.

Tomorrow posters will be given 1 driver each for Amateur drivers comp which starts Thurs. Cambridge only putting up $9k, while Addington putting up $10k per race.

Points so far - Lightening 4, Far Too Much 3, Karrots 3, Gospel 2, Happy 1, will add in Craig, Double R, Mike, Globe, Rusty to make up the 10 drivers.

Posters will earn points as their driver earns points. Who will be on the winner?

Final question comes tomorrow.

What a clueless git. The human headline at it again. I think he writes so much controversial stuff he doesn't know what day it is.

He attacks the stipes for not chasing the beach cheats, then when someone stands up to them, he says its open season on the stipes and they should be charged.

Just goes to show how farked up harness is.

Id guess its pural. Many different sources. Kind of like Gossip Girl. A blogger started writing about New York elite. Then people started sending in tips/gossip/pix. Even tho its a TV show there's actually a real life Gossip Girl currently doing similar thing in NY.

Current PP headlines - xyz driver/trainer is at beach with ex xyz driver/trainer. And trainer found his partner from this controversial website. Throw in some controversial words & it draws attention & readers similar to gossip girl.

Now for todays question ...

Who is your pick to win the amatuer drivers series? 5 points for win 4 for 2nd, 3 for 3, 2 for 4th, 1 for having a go.

My pick C Wigg.
