  1. Sad news this morning, that the sheep skin lined coat wearing football commentator John Motson had passed away aged 77.
  2. Running a bit late this week, as just back on terra firma! This week we are in Florida and a very tricky course in India. USA: Horschel - Davis - Shelton - Kim - Svensson - Bezuidenhout India: Sharma - Larrazabal - Hisatune - Schaper
  3. INEOS make a formal bid for 100% ownership of Manchester United.
  4. Are they still persisting with putting the cart before the horse re selecting the next All Black coach pryer to the World Cup?
  5. Plenty of similar analysis on this side of the globe Maxi. I remember a couple of weeks ago, Karren Brady putting the slipper in about the recent resignation. From the outside looking in, the bus is still rolling but a new driver! Penfold still has his printing ink fingers on the purse. Remember Maxi, I am your only "source of truth" in the Northern Hemisphere. 😁
  6. I would have thought that the 1st of April would be more than appropriate for calling an election. And can the media stop calling the new PM by his nickname(cringe).Would they have called the girl from Porridgeville Cindy? Or anything horse related? I think maybe nay!
  7. Look out for some bookies offering Ew T10 . The DP Tour moves to Thailand and Asian Tour form comes into play this week, with no DP tournaments played here for 8/9 years. Aphibarnrat - Whitnell - Wang - Sordet - Green - Soderberg - Lombard(T10) In the US,they head back to California . Homa - Hovland - Scott(T10)
  8. Last one for this week B Wu - very good value for a T20 finish
  9. Not a great start in Singapore! And just to rub salt into the wound, last off the list Pavon makes a flyer. USA: A hot field hits Arizona this week. I don't like siding with Favs as you know, but I can't get away from the form of local resident Rahm as the leading hope. Rahm - T Kim - Homa - Im
  10. Just teeing off in Singapore. Green - Syme - Fox - Arnaus- Veerman - Semikawa
  11. Gats looks like he has a job on his hands. Surely he must throw caution to the wind over the next few months and try out some young blood.
  12. The early ones have teed off on the DP World Tour. I'm backing up four players from last week and a stable regular. Fox - Olsen - Arnaus- Meronk - Pulkkanen USA: Hoge + Knox
  13. I've found a couple of coins from down the back of the couch, that we will throw on the hot and cold Soderburg (yet to tee off)who looks well over the odds at 125/1
  14. True Pete, "nothing left in the tank"
  15. No real value in the US, so sticking to the one tournament. Dubai Desert Classic: An open course that should favour the big drivers and desert rats! Fox - Lee - Meronk - Olesen - Wiesberger - Mansell - Arnaus
  16. I was looking at the bigger picture J! The numbers the sales produce, and undeniably TA prop up alot of those numbers especially from Book 1.They are racing horses in NZ. Yes there is always an underbidder, TA at Karaka are like Maher, Waterhouse,Waller etc are to the Sydney and Melbourne sales, and now Maher is targeting the GC MM. they keep pushing the envelope in every way!
  17. You are probably right NG. But David has kept those other buyers honest and NZ sales % and clearance rate high for many years. I declare, I am not connected to TA in any way 😁
  18. You would have to agree with RJB that without TA, NZ sales would have been struggling for a number of years.
  19. Poor start to the year. After a couple of players starting well in the first two rounds, not one could go on with it! Had a Kim ,but the wrong one😁 T Kim unusually terrible with the putter last week. Didn't over invest being the first tournament(and still tentative this week) so a loss of 2.5pts last week. Following two tournaments this week, with plenty of value around in California and Abu Dhabi. USA: K H Lee 66 - S W Kim 35 - English(one more chance)125 - Davis46 - Hadwin 61 Roughies to consider Lipsky 120 - An 180 - Yu 200 - Lasley 200. Abu Dhabi: Fox 35 - Meronk 35 - Migliozzi 100 - M W Lee 35 - Scrivener 110. Roughies to consider Larrazabel 250 - Kimsey 205 - Lagergren 150 Double and treble takers shouldn't forget Alker and Jimenez on the seniors tour Good luck
  20. A very happy new year to you all! We kick off 2023 in Hawaii and we start with a five prong attack on the opening event, the Sony Open at Waialae. T Kim - you are going to see me put his name up quite a bit this year. He has a real chance of a major this year imo. H English - Has form in Hawaii and was starting to show a bit of his old form towards the end of last year, after being out with a hip injury. C Davis - I thought he was one of the most improved players last year, now that his short game has improved he could be out of the blocks quickly and go on with it this year. B Harman - Not a regular winner, but had a couple of runner-up finishes last year and has coastal form. C Bezuidenhout - This is a short course for PGA standards, and this fella is an excellent player of these types of courses. He ended last year in reasonable form and I can see him contending on the PGA Tour this year. Last off the list was Horschel, but his striking of the ball was wayward last week.Maybe a few more rounds to blow the cobwebs out! Roughie - M Thompson @250/1 - Ranked 285 but is talented, I could see him possibly breaking into the top 100 this year. Good luck!
  21. From Hesi's team sheet, can we work out the other players left in "The Dancers" wake ?
  22. Pretty sure your right Pete. Can't miss those lamb chops!
