Overall Points

Wandering increased his lead over Howie today with another good placing (4th) to 28 points and will take some catching. Ian and Porky made good use of their Joker plays today to slot in to 3rd and 4th respectively ahead of Geoff, the first of those with a Joker up his sleeve. Hesi, Graeme, PJ (also Jokerless thus far), Sharne (another to benefit from today's Joker play) and Robert together with Midnight C round out the top 10.

See you all again tomorrow at Te Aroha where we hope there is plenty of "love" for us punters plus one from Muswellbrook (the hottest place on earth right now). Just 2 days left to go. Who will reign supreme ?

You rest now, Craig ........we've got the message ! 😄

Do you have any links with Auckland, Craig ?? ..... cos the 'Mighty Blues' may, just may have a spot available ...just the one mind. We'd have to factor you into our selectorial equations, but no promises. 😊

Word is that Geoff's not sure he'll be a starter for Mighty Blues, though thankfully he's not considering other options. I'm sure there'll be a space for him if he reconsiders.

It's not the way the Blue start that is the problem, it's the way they finish (and where)

Pete and Gordy ..... can we please add Maxi to our list of 'known troublemakers' who are 'must beat's in any Mighty Blues match-up.

what ? ..... he was already on that list ! ok, fair do s.

Please re-confirm Maxi on the list for this coming season also. I'm sure he'll have company there.

We'll be remorseless in seeing off these known troublemakers. 🤭

Overall Points

Despite Wandering having a slightly off day (10th=) he has just about secured the Nine Days of New Year. He can only be caught by Geoff who needs to win (or go close to it) tomorrow and hope Wandering scores next to nothing (slim chance). So the battle is mainly on for the minors with Porky moving up to 2nd with Howie now 3rd ahead of Ian and Hesi. Geoff, Craig, Graeme and Sharne head the remainder followed by Ashoka (still with a Joker left also)

See you all again tomorrow at Awapuni where most of us are playing for pride and personal rivalries. National Championship Super Comp entry thread has been posted. Love to see you all aboard.

Eek ....I'm starting to fade ! ...... had the 'pedal to the metal' there for a while, but now starting to take what's known as 'Hurricanes steps' (translated as going up-and-down on the one spot as the swoopers emerge from out of the ruck). 😊

One last burst of energy needed tomorrow, to cement a place in 'Top 3'.

Focus man, focus !
