  1. Nimble Yankee, Felix Newfield & Fraser Kirk, loved them when I was growing up(still am). Did'nt Nimble Yankee win the Pan Am or Miracle Mile as it was known then? I remember he was very much a sit sprinter and have a big finish.
  2. I saw Nigel Craig take on a great "P' in a match race at Addington one night, can't remember who won, but I got the quinella.😇
  3. trying to get back on track with a "J'. Butchers would argue that Josias was pretty good. Great family that
  4. What a great wee horse that Greg was. I remember seeing him win the QEII Cup @ Addington, and it was presented to Max by the Queen! How awesome is that. He looks chuffed 😍
  5. Man, that is a hell of a run of Inky Lord's to win the Cup. To be checked liked that 500m out, and still coming sideways and wide when the others seemed like half way down the straight, awesome.
  6. i think you nailed the answer there for the postage stamp Dancing Show. Roy & Barry Purdon trained him as a two & three year old I think
  7. Hilarious Guest & Hands Down I think the Hands Down photo was taken after an exhibition showing at maybe Trentham or Riccarton(can't remember) and recall he fell over!
  8. Fantastic Greyhound!! Well done Enteebee. Have a look and see an immortal. You can see how good he was by his stride. and then in tandem, brilliant.
  9. Tip of the year right there, shame I ain't a punter. 👍 👌 ✔️
  10. That's Cam Fella's credentials right there , 'C' 5. What an animal
  11. I'd like to nominate Captain Harcourt, one of the first horses that got me interested in the great game. Not for his outstanding ability, (though he was pretty good, 2nd in Stanley Rio's NZ Cup but was a great sprinter) , but just the way he looked, being a chestnut, and the way he used to race, free wheeling with that flowing white mane.
  12. You mean these two Karrots? Think these two more handsome 😍
  13. C'mon Lightning Blue, I know you want to say it, "Bla........e". Would've been a champion on this side of the Tasman too.
  14. I 'll have a crack at those All Stars, hopefully in the right order(clues in brackets) Auckland Reactor( thats a young MP?) Amazing Dream(winning on Interdominion final night?) Adore Me(can see her running past Terror To Love on the big screen, on her way to catching Franco Nelson in her NZ Cup). Fingers crossed 😷
  15. Thats' Super Bird aka Albatross Lightning B. See he won 25/28 for Stanley Dancer and they still sacked him. Only happens to the good ones.
  16. It would be interesting and I believe more comprehendible if the arguments in these sort of cases were published. After all, we are meant to be in a new realm of Perestroika or openness. To my eye at least, that sort of drive, to anybody with any knowledge, is pretty indefensible.
  17. Landora’s Gift left Sundon’s Gift. Started here with Tim Butt, went to Aussie and came back and won the Rowe Cup?
  18. Just thinking this has to be one of the greatest efforts in a Cup, trained by an amateur, 1st drive in the Cup, to run away from them after sitting parked. Thanks craigos1 for the chance to reminisce 👍
  19. Been in this game a long time. Fair enough if he didn’t move prior to the turn if he’s a sit sprinter but not to come out at the quarter is sacrilege. Now today he comes out and leads all the way? WTF? It needs to be called for what it is.🙄
  20. 1. Spending 1/2 hour with DD Nyhan & Denise, reliving the golden days and providing solutions to all of racing problems, RIP DD, true legend. 2. Laying a hand on 3 time Cup winner Terror To Love, him actually letting me and not giving a toss, what a temperament. People and horses, besides a few bad eggs it throws up its a great game this, let’s not forget it.

Question for you Karrots. Does it start with a K and end with an o?😷

Ooh, don’t know, you are very probably right GD19 just trying to think what Wee Win’s claim to fame would be. Master Musician had a few goes as well.

Hi Trotslover Sure I’m right. Rondel came from the trail along the fence when he won, didn’t go around a horse cause Sapling ran out. That picture you can’t tell but that might happen, but In Or Out outside the leader with her shadow roll is the clue. I think Rocky Tryax was 3 back and ran 3rd
