It is an abbreviation or acronym

We also allow people to write the name BOAY on here, and it does not automatically redact into some childish alternative like it does if you try to write the name Race Place on BOAY. Is that the sort of free speech you were talking about.

I see you are being challenged to reactivate your account Pete. I'll match and raise you Dougie, why don't you register here and post with those laser like debating skills lol. We have free speech also, as much as you try to continue to debunk that, and only ban people who continue to engage in personal abuse of others.
  4. Remember BF, at the end of the day, it's only a fun comp, and Tassie would always see it that way, whether you beat him or not
  5. Jimmy 'Z' Zavala (born July 12, 1955) is an American musician. He is notable for playing harmonica on the Eurythmics song "Missionary Man" and performing with the band live.

  8. That is a shock, condolences to you Tassie, you are always the character and not in great health yourself, so you don't deserve things like this Please feel free to opt out of the Reapers in the current comp if you are not up to things

    Turnover figures

Probably a good idea to email them and ask when they expect to publish something. Remembering, that they have said that they expect to run at a loss for the first 2 years. And that it is going to take a while to see any effects materialise. People who say that we have not seen fields improve are being hard judges, as it will take a while for more confidence to turn into more and better horses to racing in NZ
  10. Thanks for the match Howie, fairly close but in the end a wise decision not to play the TJ against you guys. It was never going to happen anyway lol. You guys need a win next week or risk missing out on the finals, with Showtime playing Old Mate Well done Reapers, just enough to win and hopefully rolling into a bit of form for next week. I think if we can score a 3-2 win with a bonus point or a 4-1 win next week we will make it into the final. If we don't then we don't deserve to be there. Thanks as always PJ, hope the head is better Cheers

  16. BUT, still saving the 2X joker for the last round, not THAT confident young Howard
  17. 3 years ago this meeting was abandoned after 3 races and transferred to Te Rapa a week later. Stakes ranged from 22,500 to 32,500, with the Breeders at $200K
  18. And here was the post back in 2014. Memory still good lol chevy86 Members 2,678 2,451 posts LocationDetroit Report post Posted September 18, 2014 And what a failure that Weaver was--wrecked the calendar, stopped the in-field party and has moved on up to peddling mung-beans and quinoa for his missus.
  19. And, in feeling sorry for your perceived mental state Howie and not wanting to exacerbate it, we will not be playing our TJ against Styx Yeah right he thinks to himself
  20. I recall many years ago a poster on Racecafe called Chevy86, commented about Chris Weaver who was the culprit behind the twin carnival change and how it was going to revolutionise racing, saying, that he had stuffed Ellerslie, and was now selling mung beans and quinoa for his wife, who is of course Libby Weaver, who generally talks garbage about supplements she is trying to peddle.

    Thursday Trivia

You even get to meet the legendary stopper of horses, Chris Thomson
  22. Programming for Easter racing has always been an issue, because Easter Sunday can fall anytime from March 22 to April 25. Some say the Easter Handicap should be on Easter Saturday, but easier said than done, and NZ racing is not known for its programming capability
  23. I wouldn't take PJ'S comment to heart Howie. Just a generic comment about captains being aware of the rules around the TJ
  24. Putting aside the good natured banter Howie, and in the very unlikely event you missed the finals having not being able to play your TJ through no fault of your own then I think that is inherently unfair. Maybe a rule mod for the next comp PJ. The Reapers were fortunate to get the win in the last draft comp, only by the cards falling the right way in the last round, but I guess if they had not, there would have been some contemplative perusal lol, at not been able to play the TJ
  25. Contemplative perusal, WTF is that, you will have some of the natives scrambling for their dictionaries lol
