Rhaegar and then the late finishing Subedar gave Fartoofast some hope in the last but the Pierro winner proved too strong enabling Dynamite to hold on with all their side bar Ziggy tipping him with Rocky, Ian and Junior adding BBs. Howie and Man of the Match Steve P (7 winners) got the final $$ for Fartoofast who earned two bonus points - one for a higher aggregate and another for a team profit. Ian was MVP for the victors.

Five-O nearly stole it in the last with Subedar going close but AK not only held on but crept past the profit mark for an extra bonus point to add to the one for a 4-1 margin with all but Max on target while Rob, Graeme and Heather doubled up with BBs. All the Five-Os bar Craig also got the final winner with Hesi bagging a BB while Virgil snagged the quinella to also take them past the team profit mark (for a bonus point) and ensure a higher aggregate for another bonus point. Hesi, with 7 winners, was Man of the Match, narrowly heading AK MVP Graeme.

The Crucible worked the oracle for The Rustlers at the death nailing the quinella to reel in Sharne and secure an important Joker-fuelled win for his side. It also denied UTR a bonus point (which would have been 2 subsequently) for a higher aggregate. Well played TC and the Rustlers. Ray (with a BB) and PJ also labelled the last winner. Ray was an impressive Man of the Match returning to form to crack the $500 mark while Wrinkles was UTR MVP, unlucky to draw Rustler Ray in the match.

The Wild Bunch's forlorn hope Fasano never yelped in the final event so La Bodega held on to win adding a bonus point for the 4-1 margin. The final winner was tipped by La Bodegas Rees (with a BB quinella) and Rex while Gordy and Roland bagged BBs for The Wild Bunch for whom Dualis also scored. Gordy was Wild Bunch MVP while Richie put up a good tally to take Man of the Match honours.

Dynamite's victory today allowed them to extend their lead to 3 points at the halfway mark in the Round Robin series. Despite losing Under The Radar remain 2nd but only by aggregate from Animal Kingdom whose win today gave them a 6 point cushion over 4th placed Five-O who lost. The gap from the top half to the bottom was reduced from 5 points to 4 with La Bodega's bonus point helping them to reduce the gap. The Rustlers were the day's big movers climbing out of the cellar and up two spots with their Joker-enhanced win. Consequently Fartoofast and The Wild Bunch each lost a place despite the former taking two bonus points in defeat. Long way to go still. Don't forget about the back up tomorrow when Round 8 is played out.

🍷🍷🍷, Well done team. Got the monkey off the back and chasing nicely. Superb innings Richie ,well deserved ably supported by the rest of us, and a launching pad into the nxt round.

Commiserations Wild Bunch , caught us on the back up from a crushing( and very unlucky) loss last week, although I see The Rustlers did it again to UTR. Couldn't happen to a nicer team( Rustlers that is). Onwards and upwards for tomorrow, get some swat going as we need to keep the momentum going to overcome a bunch of Animals.

Thank you very much for the scoring and updates today, PJ. Top performance as always.

We 'TooFast's were sailing along nicely today, even out to 5-0 up at one stage, but came unstuck mid-programme in two races (Aigne / Mister Sea Wolf) that were to prove decisive for our rivals the 'Dynamite'.

Certainly hearty congrats to 'Dynamite', proving why they are right at the top of the charts. Even when things were getting sticky for them they showed that champion quality of being able to tough it out and get in the decisive strides when it counted.

Great jobs from our Stevie P and Geoff today, big, big contributions that were crucial in us 'TooFast' managing 2 competition points even in defeat. These guys are really hitting their straps,  and I can see a much-improved outcome from the 'TooFast's in the second round of this fine comp. So watch out you others ! Wheeze a comin' for ya ! 😁

Congrats Hesi ...well played today, mate, 7 from 10 and 3 quinellas is outstanding tipping...and thanks for the tight match Five-0. I was a tad worried watching that Subedar in the last! Coulda ruined my day.

Interestingly, not one Animule featured among PJ's list of the Most Wins, Biggest Winning Score, Biggest Losing Margin etc  etc ....you might say we crept under the radar.
The one category we did win, though, was Most Comp Points of the Round (1st = with the Joker-playing Rustlers). Keep up the good work, team.Another big day on the morrow.
