Dancing Show
Just looking at the silks and the horse I'm inclined to say Ekraar, it looks like him except perhaps the white star is a little small and I don't think his race won in Europe was a mile or that he went to Aus and Ireland. But other than that 😄😀 It could be that it's just a Maktoum owned horse. Still we will wait to see what PJ says ... and perhaps a clue 🙂

Which means it's not Ekraar The horse in question passed away in 2016

slam dunk
Given all the clues Matamata trained, Wanganui winner, approx. date range and distinctive photo probably Shane Dye riding why is this so hard. Got me stumped. The guy with hat probably dressed for September meeting.
PWJ
Another clue- The two horses with the same name - one was by a stallion that stood at Cambridge while the other was by a stallion standing in the Hawkes Bay
PWJ
Now this will really spin ya wheels - at the same time as the horse in the photo was racing in NZ, a third horse with the same name was racing in Australia trained by Colin Hayes - it had a GB suffix.
