If the Seagulls score no points, then Barellan must score 5 points to win.  That means a profit bonus as well as 5-0.

Scoring a profit bonus is possible, as Tom, Howie, Geoff and Craig all have Exhilirates and Brooklyn Hustle as BB's in the last.

So I would say it all comes down to either of those horses winning and Seagulls not getting a profit bonus if they lose

That could be it...I think we just hit the profit line.

Well done Pete and your winning Seagulls Sharne, Stevie P, Maurice and Hesi.
You've had a great competition, and ultimately proven too strong in the run to the line.
A very well chosen team, Pete ! You're doing these Draft Comps very well.
Congratulations from us all at Team Barellan. Glad we kept it interesting for so long.

To win:

Seagulls need-

possibly a Brooklyn Hustle-Funstar quinella in that order for Steve

Ardern Up need-

Lyre to win for Zac, Stevie and Ray (5-zip win !!)

OR

Jen Rules to win for Zac

OR

Sierra Sue to win for Stevie

OR

Madam Rouge to win for Ray

To win the comp-

Barellan need Punter Pete and Howie to win their matches and as they have 4 different selections this can't happen although Exhilarates or Brooklyn Hustle may give them a team profit.

The Escapists need-

Madam Rouge to win for Roland

OR

Jen Rules or Coventina Bay to win for Rex

Thanks Howie. The team have been ultra consistent apart from Hesi who is the weakest link.

Nah just kidding it's been great and we've constantly posted good aggregates.

On a much more general note thanks to PJ of course and all participants (even those who kept posting in the wrong places, I forgive you 😃)

They're all trying to give you something to do, to get your rookie ranking up 🙂   I find that kinda funny 🙂

Final Autumn Super Comp Table

1st 35 Seagulls* $16,919.00

2nd 32 Barellan* $15,412.60

3rd 27 Ardern Up* $15,251.00

4th 26 Ramones* $14,363.60

6th 23 Maxis* $13,794.20

7th 13 Showtime* $12,361.00

The Seagulls two bonus points gave them enough insulation from a late Barellan bombardment and they ran out deserved Champions of the Autumn Super Comp with a 3 point margin over a brave Barellan outfit. Despite their loss today Arden Up held 3rd holding off the Ramones - who took down the Champs today - by a point. The Escapists and Maxis ended the day where they started only doubling their solitary bonus point they earned while Showtime ended the comp with a bang winning their final match.

A huge thanks to all participants and 10/10 for the banter, good humour and respect with which everyone conducted themselves. Don't forget to enter the Mid-Winter Comp which starts next weekend with the draft happening Tuesday night. Enter right now !
