PWJ
ROUND 13 - Saturday September 11 Selections Close off at 1.21pm Gave Taranaki a miss this week due to poor fields. This week I am taking the gamble (once again) that everything will go ahead. However, be aware that if Te Rapa is called off I will be posting alternative races - Taranaki or earlier races from Kembla Grange/Flemington - to replace Te Rapa. If you post early, please check back Saturday morning to ensure there are no changes. MX5 and Piko fight for the right to party....errrr... take down The Roughnecks in the final round with a Joker lurking in Max's pocket while Lowdown seek an upset against the table toppers. Crazy Horse match off against the tactical genius Usain Colt crew in a must-win game for both teams with The Hot Toddys - the most scored against team in the comp taking a break from H-T-H competition with their Bye round. Spring Comp - NPC version - expression of interest thread goes up soon. Good luck everyone. Any questions please ask. Races are: 1. Te Rapa R3 - 1.51pm - Waikato Draught Mile - $30k, 1600m, R74 BM 2. Te Rapa R4 - 2.25pm - Cal Isuzu 1200 - $30k, 1200m, R65 BM 3. Te Rapa R5 - 2.58pm - Dunstan Recovery Mash 1200 - $30k, 1200m, R74 BM 4. To be the best ya have to beat the best 😃, and beat them well, so I can see the Joker coming out this very Saturday. Remember ... you heard it here first ! 😁

You guys and guyess's should be ashamed of yourselves for picking on her.

pete
The low down Lowdown team are playing their joker against the fading table toppers this week. Looking forward to chopping 'The King' down to size.

That means you are going to need to throw safety out the window to get the profit bonus in those 2 weeks

PWJ
How they fared last time they met: Round 2 2 PIKO (4th) $1325.60 2 points 3 MX5 (1st) $1262.60 2 points Dramatic finish to this match saw the Piko's winning hope Exhilarates go down narrowly at the death however Hesi, Geoff and Tom had it as a BB with Geoff and Hesi adding quinellas while the winner was also tipped by Man of the Match Richie to just get Piko across the team profit line giving them a bonus point to add to that for a superior aggregate. Hesi got up to nail Rex denying MX5 a bonus point for a 4-1 margin. MX5's Rob, Graeme and Craig also bagged BBs in the last as their team clung on to win with Graeme narrowly pipping Rob for MVP honours for MX5. Terrific match ! 174.20 Tom 213.20 Craig 343.40 Geoff 355.60 Graeme 174.00 Hesi 147.80 Rex 159.80 Howie 351.00 Rob 474.20 Richie 195.00 Max Round 3 Bye - HOT TODDYS (7th) (took on Crazy Horse & Lowdown) $1248.80 3 points Captain Maria certainly chose the right match to take on with the Hot Toddys taking all 3 points on offer, their final collects coming from Pam (with a BB) and Heather. Punter Pete was a standout MVP for them. 201.80 Midnight C 223.00 Pam 495.00 Punter Pete 194.00 Maria 135.00 Heather Round 5 4 ROUGHNECKS (1st) $1419.60 4 points 1 LOWDOWN* (3rd) $959.20 0 (x 2 Joker play) = 0 points The Roughnecks had it won with an impressive display before the last where Jen bagged a BB. Lowdown ended the day with all but Pete snagging BBs on the Berry bolter while Maurice's was enough to reel in Gordy and prevent the opposition from claiming a 5-pointer. Gee with 3 double figure winners was Man of the Match while Sharne was MVP for Lowdown. The Roughnecks took bonus points for the 4-1 margin and a team profit. 390.00 Jen 337.00 Sharne 274.60 Roland 202.80 Robert 540.00 Gee 241.40 Steve P 83.00 Gordy 158.00 Maurice 134.00 Dino 20.00 Pete 1 CRAZY HORSE (6th) $796.20 0 points 4 USAIN COLT (5th) $1017.60 3 points Van Giz flopped and Handspun ran on too late so Usain Colt not only held on but added a bonus point for a 4-1 margin when Gary got up to beat the scorer with a BB. All the Usain Colts tipped the Hickman winner with BBs also added by Stevie N and Man of the Match Ray who nailed 6 winners. BBs from Crazy Horse MVP Rees and The Squirrel rounded out the day for Crazy Horse. 26.00 Plovdiv 159.20 Stevie N 109.40 Jason 448.20 Ray 79.80 PJ 136.00 Gary 171.00 Blind Squirrel 186.20 Ian 410.00 Rees 87.00 Ziggy
