His half-brother was a Champion racehorse but only a good sire, not a Champion His sire was a Champion 3YO and stood at stud in USA & Japan but was a poor sire. This offspring contested many top races including the NZ Derby, STC Rawson Stakes, STC Tancred Stakes, DB Mile (Trentham) Taupo Cup (which he won), Poverty Bay Gold Cup, CJC Winter Cup, Wellington Cup, Auckland Cup, Sydney Cup, Awapuni Gold Cup, Matamata Cup, , Whakatane Cup, NZ Cup, Benson & Hedges Gold Cup, Mitchelson Cup & the Grand National Hurdles !
