Hesi
The Autumn Comp is undoubtedly dominated by the return of several old combinations, and these synergies have influenced the setting of this market Blues $4 - Howie and Geoff were like lost souls in the last comp, but are set to rebound, along with Gordy and Pete. Roland had a poor last comp, that means he will probably have a blinder. Well deserved faves, only just Magpies $5 - The core of this team is the Offngone team that cruised the last comp, as predicted, with Ian leading with the bag of tricks from the draught board. But this is a chess game Ferdies $6 - PJ reunited with his Taranaki mates in Moz and Heather, and more than ably supported by Tom and Zac, make a formidable combination Turbos $8 - The terrible two in Ray and Zig, both legendary tippers. Throw in Steve Paul, Gary and the nut chaser, who got bloused out of aggregate honours in the Summer draft comp, and they make up what should be the F4 Kauri Kats $11 - What can you say about this iconic, long lived team, with the triumvirate of girls holding sway again. Maxi and Graeme supporting them all the way. Could win it, but mixed form, so a bottom half of the field finish Swamp Foxes $15 - Mainly harness folk, but they have surprised on a regular basis. Throw in the inimitable(look it up) Maria and the mysterious Punter Pete, and they could easily surprise Chiefs $15 - King Gee(Penguin), top tipper Smiler, newbie Our Maizcay(WELCOME) who has shown a bit of form elsewhere and Trotslover and perennial Jack. They will possibly do a Roch 'N' Horse, who knows, easier to read tea leaves Highlanders $30 - Not a show, just making up the field 2

True, Maxi is an old codger from the Triassic period, but he has those 3 ladies to keep him feeling young

Hesi
Magpies $4 - Impressive display in R1, and must now move to favourite Blues $5 - Beaten but still impressive, with Roland as predicted, bouncing back, scoring 2/3 of the points in one round compared to the total of 8 rounds previous comp Ferdies $7 - The skip will have to lift his game Turbos $9 - Slightly disappointing, so have lengthened Kauri Kats $10 - Unlucky to lose Swamp Foxes $13 - Smashed by an unstoppable Magpie dive, but still impressive scoring Chiefs $15 - Just a par performance against an under performing Turbos Highlanders $26 - Poor scoring, but fluked a win

TooFast
Kauri Kats with 3 alumni in the Serendipitous Six after Round 1, a huge advantage, but somehow they've conspired to be running 7th of 8 on the big one, the leaderboard ! Just Plodded volunteered that on first glance it appeared like awful team mismanagement on the part of the Kauri Kats, but I said that I couldn't possibly comment, that I'm not one to put the boot in to ailing rival outfits (unless they're our opponent for the coming Saturday 🙂).
