  1. Possibly. At least it was a proper race where every horse got a fair chance because the pace was on the whole way and half the field didn't get unbalanced and flung out turning into the straight and as always the Lowland form out performed the Sunline Vase form.
  2. At that level even the slower ones know when their time is up and they certainly or seldom make a fuss.
  3. I don't officially know, and my guess is no will ever officially know. These sort of appointments don't work that way! Don't expect a personal grievance claim in this instance, because as I said these sort of appointments don't work that way.
  4. Between a few of us on here we could solve most of the problems in no time, if given the chance, but you and I know, they don't like practical people with common sense. I remember an old boss describing a Sales Rep from our competition 40 years ago. To me as a youngster, he looked pretty good. His response was; Don't worry about him, he's from the Silk Tie, Pearl Pin brigade. In other words, he cuts a good picture but needs to dress up and say all the right things to impress, but in actual fact, is next to useless. Bayliss, Brown and Allen all fit that picture, if I am not mistaken.
  5. If you are referring to Cameron George, he is appointed by the Members Council which is made up of people from Racing Clubs plus people from the thoroughbred sector groups such as the Trainers etc.
  6. Bruce Sharrock…..will he be next? Hesi that’s a damn good question. I guess that we will have to wait and see, but I don’t like moonlighters. (I am referring to his Player Manager Business)
  7. Word in the street….asked to go, in other words pushed.
  8. Add to the above, the “old Trackside Racing frequency’s”will soon once again be much more focused on broadcasting races. It has partially started because it was my pleasure to listen to the last from Trentham when I was driving home, because I backed Zackery before leaving and he paid $21+ 😂
  9. Grass grub they tell me. That’s a new one to add to the long list of track stuff up’s, close downs etc.
  10. Yes I made a comment on this site a couple of weeks ago and management decided to delete it for whatever reason.
  11. Good God, you buggers are tough. I thought that the Trentham track played beautifully yesterday. Horses could win from the front or the back, on the fence or out wide. Every horse had a fair chance. Wasn’t the Oaks a proper race? Pace on all the way unlike like every race at Ellerslie where George says every single time, “they have reduced the pace appreciably”. And the best horse won. Have a look at a replay of the last race and tell me that the best horse didn’t win there and it was paying $21+. I know because I backed it 😂
  12. Green Street trained by Noel Eales. Not a champion but damn hard to get past sometimes.
  13. Exactly the same scenario on why Te Akau said NO to Imperatriz and The Everest.
  14. The I’ve been everywhere man. I don’t think that I’ll bother.
  15. Has it stalled or is there further information available? What are the plans regarding a "greenfields" racecourse with training facilities or is that now forgotten?
  16. I read the whole transcript of Stick's case and I didn't think that it read too well for him.
  17. Although I had a gin along side me, I hadn't even had a sip. ' Maybe the aroma was too much for me or the computer. 😂
  18. Hesi, seen as you are obviously interested in the sales and the end outcome, pop over to the other site and test your “yearling selection” ability against the rest of us.
  19. It works for HK. Why wouldn’t it work here? Ever since FOB came in, the stakes went down, the payout to clubs dropped and the cost of running the business skyrocketed. Entain have reversed the cycle, but for how long?
  20. Jayne’s working for Racing.com at the moment, so I can’t see any reason that she couldn’t do key stints close to home, especially with the grandparents eager to babysit which the vast majority are.
  21. I hope so, but I think that it’s more to do with her partner taking a job as Racing Manager at RACE ( best news this year as far as I am concerned) plus mum (Jayne)!and the kids will be close to their grandparents.

    Master Fay

Wasn’t he (Clyde Conway) a master? Slam Dunk, you must be pretty old to remember him.
