  1. Given this years outstanding crop I think that they may have fluked the placement of years Levin Classic. Given that they get a good surface for the race, I think that it will be the race of the year, so long as the majority don't fall by the wayside.
  2. Best group of Three Year Olds in years. Pete saying that Sharp N Smart being a good yardstick is spot on. Vanturk mentioning Lickety Split too. Anyone who doubts this years crop is sadly out of touch in my opinion.

Thanks for putting this up. I for one at least appreciate it.

    Gee whiz I just popped in to try the site again, give it a bit of support, but sadly after this thread I am off back to RC for so sense and sensibility. [At least for a wee while}

You amaze me time after time!
  6. My view too based on the time that my wife has been spent one way or the other, in our local area hospitals - Capital and Coast Health.
  7. Thank God it was on a very heavy track and not the all-weather as the outcome would or could have been very different. They say hitting the deck on the all-weather is like hitting a road. Oh and isn’t that how they are constructed?
  8. What absolute crap. I am amazed that anyone who knows racing or the rules would think it let alone say it!
  9. Thanks for posting Raymond, You have given me a bloody great idea in that in future I too will use my "bonus bets" for multi's rather than trying to "buy money" with poor odd. Buller
  10. For my three pence worth Pete has been the best person on either channel that I have had the pleasure of dealing with. Pete, thank goodness you haven’t really gone anywhere and whether or not it’s on here or RC, keep up the good work. To everyone else, try even harder and make this site a more equal one in every way. You will find me posting on both channels but much more often on the other one, because the debate is mostly better. Now that’s a statement/challenge so let’s try and make both sites as good as one another, especially this one.
  11. Agree, but how much more of "our money" can they spend, not knowing what they are doing, plus with the boarder restrictions in place or inter-country restrictions in place what does it matter anyway?
  12. AWT's have a life span of about 10 years [give or take] before you have to spend massive money on them again, so not a waste really, as it will be at least 10 years before we see Cambridge closed down or the new track up and running in my opinion.
  13. I'll be dead before it happens.
  14. I have horses in Australia and yes it’s bloody tough to get a Saturday horse.
  15. I thought that he could win any race that he was set for, that’s how good he was. Assuming he’s still intact my guess is that he’ll end up at Arrowfield this spring.
  16. Pete, once again thanks for inviting me. My wife enjoyed doing the picks. Anytime you want to repeat the simply formula, I'll put up the $50. [At least for the next four times.] Simply message me to say, "your on". The only condition is that 50% of the winning bet [if there is one] goes to the Wellington Branch of the Huntington's Assoc.
  17. R 1 - No 12 R 2 - No 9 R 3 - No 4 R 4 - No 5 R 5 - No 3 BB R 6 - No 7 R 7 - No 13 R 8 - No 6 Thanks Pete for the invite.

    American Pharoah

I think that I can safely say that he is not going to make it in this part of the world.

    Mid-week trivia

And so do I, believe it or not!
  20. A damn good reason to not even bother reading what they write.

    Time Flies

Agree. For the record the two that you have mentioned are my picks for tomorrow, even though we have a bye. (I still can work that out!)
