Two Academy Award nominations, appeared in some of the greatest films of the 60s and 70s (The Snow Goose, The Guns of Navarone, This Sporting Life, A Man Called Horse, Cromwell, Camelot) as part of the British New Wave and of course later the first two Harry Potter films as Dumbledore.
