I was in my mid-teens and we raced in a 400m at Mt Smart Stadium. He even beat me at 400m ! . . . though he wouldn't have even been getting warmed up when he crossed the finish line. Do you remember a 6 year old who used to win all his races by a big margin who later on played for the wallabies, one James O’Connor. There were 3 O'Connor brothers in the Childrens Division at the time, and each of them won everything ! 🙂. They had come over from Australia and then before they finished Childrens Division they went back to live in Australia again. And as you say, a big career for James in the Wallabies.
