Gazzac Posted December 28, 2023 Posted December 28, 2023 Head off tomorrow morning for a road trip to Auckland to cheer home Bonny Lass in the Railway. She is 100% for the first time in a long time. I see JonnyJonny and Babylon Berlin setting the pace and hopefully opening up some gaps for BL to get a run one off and maybe in about 4th placing. Ill be excited as they turn for home if that comes to light. I get to drop into Taupo on Saturday to watch Provence have her fresh up winning run. Anyway for tomorrow 2/3/9 1/3/8 1/8/9 ** 2/5/7 2/4/6 1/2/3 7/8/12 Happy new year to you all - ill be offline until wednesday when Im home again. Take care and travel safe 4 1 Quote

Sounds like a challenge only harness fans could dream up. PJ will probably throw in more from Outer Mongolia… or was that Tasmania ? What could possibly go wrong? What could possibly go wrong? gets bloody cold there sometimes so not far off being like Mongolia lol . Wind sweeps straight off Antartica. Being from there originally , have plenty of relatives there being born Hobart, luckily the family saw the light and shifted to NZ when I was a youngster. here's my Grand-father winning at Elwick (scene of todays LUCKY 7 ) near a century ago. they could ride the pacers then in a lot of races instead of using a sulky. my dad won his first race there in the war years aged just 13 in saddle (while still light ) 3 Quote
Globederby19 Posted December 28, 2023 Posted December 28, 2023 Cardigan Bay won his first stake in a saddle trot, 3rd. Quite a number of Tassies moved to NZ and set up as trainers and became legends. Cecil Devine comes to mind. Quote

Think I will take 'NOBLE Exception' who is in Race 4 at Hobart in PJ's comp, in their honour . 1 Quote
