Blue Boy was good to go again (after a few days R and R ...lol ) It's a tough gig winning Interdominions lol. Very lucky as LB didn't have enough points to make the Final. First emergency and got in on the scratching of Bag Limit who I think would have waltzed in . He was near on in unstoppable form. My money was on Luxury Liner . Barely a race went by, when he wasn't attacking for the lead, attacking from the 'death' , or attacking 3 -wide for a lap (or more) . Jimmy O sort of followed suit, often doing the same. Lightning Blue attacking '4 wide a lap out' in the big Interdominion Win 1987. Your mate Luxury Liner doing him a favour pushing him out there too, trying to get the back of the 3-wide Our Mana , which LL did achieve. A gutsy effort by Blue. He Had a very Un-characteristic gallop in a Heat so was near eliminated from chance at the final. Being a points based thing , and just the 2 x 4ths to get in the race. Yes , very Lucky indeed to get a start. But 'Lucks A Fortune' is the saying !!

This gives the McCarthy barn the first 3 running spots along the fence. and control from the death-seat too. Heres why. McCarthy was interviewed on Boxseat. When questioned, basically said something along the lines of this - (that as both horses equal in his eyes atm & with the draws as they have turned out & with both horses having different sets of owners he will give the owners of Expensive Ego the decision on the driving instructions ! ) What a GOOD MAN!

The great horse MAORI'S IDOL, beaten into 3rd chasing the Australian Record of 25 wins in a row. (that's his white bridle coming home 'Late' in the final. Silly driver mistook the Laps (horror drive alright) and sat at back of field before realising his error late on. Biggest Error Ever IMO. the Beautiful MAORI's IDOL used to win by huge margins and won against pacers 8 times. Also 2nd to RIP VAN WINKLE in a Group 1 ......(40 career wins from 46 starts) 4 Pom's out in the cricket Ashes already ! Wahoo!! Lightning Blue
Double R hits the lead with Yankee Loch. PWJ on the board with the desparately unlucky Maori's Idol.. A total irony with todays Quiz questions is SUMTHINGABOUTMAORI , the Trot Interdom winner of 2004, broke that New Zealand run of 14 Interdominion GF Trot wins in a row, for the Healy's (who had Maori's Idol) , so his colours (green and gold stars) were eventually carried to Victory at Moonee Valley 25 years after his defeat there. !!! how funny. ( DoubleR (robert) 17 pts, Enteebee 15 pts , Globe Derby 6 pts , Blackie 5 pts, Josias + Karrots on 4 pts, PWJ on 2 pts and Craigos 1 pt) ***Hint is get your exacta and trifecta picks ready for Grand Final day. The 2 Grand Finals will be worth some points and the Quiz INTERDOMINION winner will be declared straight after the Pacers Grand Final. winner could spring from anywhere lol. So I believe him. If you get a chance his interview is from 32 minutes til 40 minutes. Clearly says, it will be owners decision how to drive Ego not his. Also forgot to mention he rates Majestic Man as the horse to beat in Trot. (If MM is his back to his usual self). Oh & I loved the story of how The Penny Drops his trainer is a hobby trainer of just 2 - is a truck driver age 66.
