A tense day with the Squirrel trying to be a good sport but mumbling many threats to Sebrenco under his breath!!!

Thanks Rees for pummeling me into submission...yet again! Your ability to pick multiple double figure winners is legendary.

However it is a team game and the four remaining Turbo's were magnificent as they scrapped all day to send us into the final.

Thanks Maria and the Swampies, an awesome game befitting a semi final.

Thanks team Turbo - another super effort and we now look forward to tackling those puddies next week.

And finally thanks PJ - you are amazing.

THE SPRING CHAMPIONSHIP - Semi-Finals - Sat Oct 29

Race 10 - Rosehill R9

1st - 7 Oakfield Arrow W-$20.80

2nd - 5 Awesome Lad Q - $93.30

Scr: 10,15,23,24

4 Kauri Kats (4th) $1775.60

1 Chiefs (1st) $1202.00

Stray never got into it for The Chiefs so The Kauri Kats march on to the Grand Final belying their "outsider" tag. Gee, scorless all day, popped up to claim the final winner. Sharne was an impressive Match Star for The Kats while Jack edged Robert for Waikato MVP honours. The Chiefs will contest the 3rd place playoff next week.

4 Turbos (3rd) $1142.20

1 Swamp Foxes (2nd) $1037.40

Sebrenco had the perfect trail and tried hard in the straight but couldn't pull it off for the Swamp Foxes who push on to the 3rd place playoff. No one found the final winner. Big congrats to the Turbos, led by MVP Gary, to make the Grand Final next week. Swamp Fox Rees was a dominant Man of the Match tipping half the card, as did Gary.

THE PRESIDENTS CHAMPIONSHIP - Semi-Finals

4 Ferdies (5th) $1385.40

1 Highlanders (8th) $672.00

The Ferdies had it won before the last where only Midnight Caller labelled the winner with 4 of the Highlanders plus 'Naki MVP Zac were on the runner-up. MC took Man of the Match honours as a result of tipping the Wyong wuffie. The Ferdies proceed to the Presidents Final while The Otago lads will scrap for not ending up with the Wooden Spoon next week.

487 Midnight Caller

381.20 Zac

0 Craig

2 Magpies (7th) $861.00

3 Blues (6th) $1235.00

Despite falling behind in the penultimate race there was no way back for the Magpies in the last and they will end the comp trying to avoid the Wooden Spoon while the Blues press on to The Presidents Final. Moose edged Gordy for Man of the Match honours while Richie was HB MVP. No one found the Four Pillars winner.

Congrats to  The Kauri Kats , For an outstanding display of tipping today.... Just to many guns for the Mighty Chief`s to contend with .... To Team  Chief`s a valiant effort by All . Just one more round  next week against The Swamp Fox`s before we go out to pasture ... Once again Best of British to the Kauri Kats and Turbo`s in the Final....

Magic day at Flemington today for cap'n Max, reliving the tour of '92 with good mate Georgy Boy.

Thanx Chiefs, thought you mighta had us there mid-arvo but the Derby result turned the match in our favour. Some wonderfulll racing at Flemington today, and the 'young genreations) make a lot of noise when their bets are looking likely.

Very impressed by the Kats powerful team effort today...well done Sjharne, Jen, Pam and Graeme ...only the captain looked average/poor, until the Derby saved his bacon.

Looking forward to The Big Dance next Saturday.

Well isn't that rubbing salt in the wound Highlanders.  A win in the Caulfield Cup instead of a close second and we finish the round robin 2nd with the highest aggregate

Woulda, shoulda, coulda - c'mon Hesi it's Spoon time for those Kilt Wearers and the pesky 'Pies

Do you believe in Magic ?
