The Desperados gave it a huge go and were 5-0 up with 3 races to go - a scoreline which would have won them the comp - but Heroes Roland and Gordy fought back to deny them. Kelly's Heroes took the Bronze despite losing today while the other places remained unchanged with the Coyotes winning to head off the UnionJacks and Believers in the 3-way fight for 5th. Lastly Captain Max decided to throw a party for his work force when leading the Championship favourites resulting in just one collect from one player in the final 6 races ! Hesi
A huge sigh of relief here!!!! Had Tassie not rolled Rob in R9, we would have got beaten by the Maxis and potentially lost to the Desperados, thanks to my mistake with Tassie's posting, although might have just sqeaked through with the 2 points from a higher losing score Thanks for the match Maxi and your fine team. I was close to conceding, but as usual the team pulled us through, which is what these comps are always about, the TEAM. Some weeks some don't score so well, other weeks they save the team. As anyone knows who has played this fine comp for any period of time, any team can beat any other team on the day. Thanks Reapers, it has been a blast, you all played so well for so long And last but by no means least, our eternal gratitude goes out to PJ, who keeps on keeping on with giving for the sake of other people's enjoyment, nothing else, just that selfless motivation that has driven these comps for so many years 6
