Globederby19
Just Jake gave us some hope until November Dreaming loomed up and scuttled us. We got the quinnie ,just the wrong way around. Tough day at the office but not too much damage done points wise. Congrats Superiors ,nice joker play which keeps you in the hunt. Mr Stardust struggling today which goes to show how hard it really is, and Moosey bound to find out he forgot.. Thanks to my team mate BS for nominating picks for Moose and scratchings, that's what team mates are for and well appreciated. Thanks PJ for your efforts while trying to conduct your work as well.

We're 3 wins on the bounce now and feeling a little more confident of a finals berth.
PWJ
Round 10 - Wednesday Oct 21 Race 10 - Geelong R9 1st - 11 November Dreaming W-$3.60 2nd - 5 Just Jake Q-$16.70 Scr: 4,14,16 2 BLACKBOOKERS (2nd) $1536.80 1 point 3 NO EYE DEER (3rd) $1881.00 3 points Just Jake the Blackbookers winning hope traveled well and hit the lead on straightening giving the No Eye Deers a few nervous moments before he was run down by the favourite who was picked by everyone bar the scorer, with Dino and Ashoka bagging BBs, Richie snagging the quinella and Gordy and Midnight C landing a beaut BB quinella yielding over $138 - not bad for a $3.60 winner. Midnight C's effort saw him rewarded with Blackbookers MVP mantle while Richie's quinella was enough to get him ahead of Stevie at the death, denying No Eye Deer a further bonus point. Ashoka with a big score was an impressive Man of the Match - too good today mate, while each side took a bonus point for a team profit with some good scoring on a tricky day. 190.00 Dino 442.40 Gordy 365.00 PJ 529.00 Ashoka 292.00 Maurice 168.00 Porky 374.40 Midnight C 438.60 Jen 315.40 Richie 303.00 Stevie N 3 DAYLIGHT (1st) $1447.80 3 points 2 TOO FAST (5th) $1105.20 0 points He's A Balter never raised Too Fast's hopes in the last so Daylight returned to their winning ways with their final collects coming from Man of the Match Ian, John, and ray with a beaut BB quinella. Robert (with a BB), Geoff, and Rex scored the final $$ for Too Fast for whom Captain Howie was MVP. Daylight took a bonus point for a team profit. 462.20 Ian 281.20 Rex 0.00 The Crucible 281.00 Gee 282.80 Pam 313.00 Howie 379.80 Ray 108.00 Robert 323.00 John 8122.00 Geoff 2 PUMPED (4th) $1158.20 0 points 3 SUPERIORS* (6th) $1256.80 2 (x 2 Joker play) = 4 points Like the Blackbookers, Pumped needed Just Jake to win and it was looking a big chance when it hit the front in the straight before the Tavistock fave mowed it down handing the win to the successful Joker players - The Superiors. Only Pumped pair Moose and Blind Squirrel and Superiors duo the two Petes missed the winning fave with Steve, Sharne and Ziggy bagging BBs while Gary snagged the quinella. Steve P was Man of the Match with 6 winners while Blind Squirrel was once again Pumped MVP. No bonus points were earned but the Superiors double their 2 points with their Joker play. 261.00 Moose 391.00 Punter Pete 418.20 Blind Squirrel 248.00 Sharne 69.40 Gary 122.00 Mardy 118.00 Ziggy 439.80 Steve P 291.60 Rees 56.00 Pete 4 REAPERS* (8th) $1328.20 4 (x 2 Joker play) = 8 points 1 MAXISQUILLIONS (7th) $1167.00 0 points Cuzco Lad never yelped for the Maxis in the last so The Reapers successful Joker play came off with a BB from Tom and a BB quinella from Jack pushing them past the team profit mark for another two points in addition to the two for the 4-1 margin giving them a great haul of 8 points to put them back in contention. Hesi will be wanting us to race at Gilgandra and Woodville every midweek methinks ! The Maxis finished strongly with all of them on the winning fave in the last with BBs added by Heather, Max and Rob though it was Georgy Boy who was Man of the Match with Jack (6 winners) MVP for the victors. 221.60 Tom 164.00 Rob 294.60 Hesi 236.00 Heather 199.20 Craig 156.00 Max 372.40 Jack 226.00 Graeme 240.40 Roland 385.00 Georgy Boy Table after Round 10 1st 25 Daylight $12,470.20 2nd 22 No Eye Deer $11,827.60 3rd 20 Blackbookers $11,690.40 4th 16 Pumped $10,434.20 5th 16 Reapers* $9059.20 ------ Finals Qual Mark------------ 6th 15 Superiors* $10,885.40 7th 13 Too Fast $12,301.20 8th 9 Maxisquillions $11,139.60 Daylight's win today saw them maintain their 3 point cushion at the top of the table but their new chasers are No Eye Deer who defeated the Blackbookers and ousted them from 2nd place. Pumped lost but remain 4th but the day's big movers were the Reapers who had a very successful Joker play taking them from the cellar to a Finals spot ! The Superiors also had a successful Joker play but frustratingly remain 6th while Too Fast dropped two places in defeat and the Maxis fell down a place into the cellar, also beaten on the day. The Reapers showed today how a successful Joker play can dramatically change a team's fortunes. Four rounds remain with 6 Jokers still to play. Should be fun ! 5

Maximus
Congrats to the Reapers, a tad too consistent for the Maxis today, though as usual there were some very close calls - Blandford Lad (nose 2nd) in particular cost 3 Maxis heavily. Dems da breaks. It was another tremendous contest that went to the wire. PJ can you just check Graeme's score, please ...I think you have credited him with two NZ BBs (wins, that is) but I might be wrong. Lets keep fighting Maxis, one or two big days at the office is all we need! Great effort today PJ, workin' n' all. We all appreciate it immensely.
