You might recall, John used to run an individual comp as above, and get a bit dismayed at the lack of banter, compared with team comps

My response was always, that people don't like to blowhard about their own performances, whereas in team comps when you blibbed on a bit, it was always about the team

I wasn't a fan of Say No More (just saying)

He always wanted to wait till everyone else had posted and would adjust his picks to have 6 or 7 different from his opponent.

I do all Comps on a fun basis with no help with selections unless when in a Team event one of my Teammates have the oil for something.

Agree 100% Craig. I think his modus operandi suffered when we went to the current model of hiding picks in a team comp.

Thanks to PJ, glad to see u made it home in one piece through the thunderstorms, now onwards to look at the meetings for tomorrow, oh yay lucky lucky wellington and a wet doomben or have they got the towels out to soak up the moisture ..... then onto sunday ..... oh eck !!! wheres me waste paper basket !!!!1

I think yesterdays comp was decided by a couple  of races at Riccarton. All shorties at Kensington.
I fell into the trap of going for likely winners and not nearly rough enough.
I have followed that Darci Bloody Palmer for the last few starts in these comps and just when you finally say "enough is enough" in they stroll and Ziggie was on it to twist the knife!
Trentham... now there is a place with a reputation and it ain't for shorties.
