A best bet quinella in the first would have scored $92, but looking at his picks, Ashoka didn't have a best bet in the first.

Just saw Ashoka's post.  I will post an update for that match after Race 2 while Rex is away for a bit.

brill ,thanks SNM... your format is much better for those of us trying to follow the KKs fortunes vs Ferdies and Crusaders (I have also pm-ed Sir G with the official format you're using.)

All 5 KKs label the impressive winner, with Sharne now 3 from 3 incl a BBQ. Graeme and Rocky also 3 from 3, allowing the KKs to leapfrog the Ferdies but still some distance off the Sadists.

TURBOS          1      trail               MIGHTY BLUES      4

Steve P           65            trails               Geoff                          77

Rees                74.80     leads               Pete                            35

Ray                     0           trails                Howie                      110

B Squirrel        35           trails                Gordy                         87

Gary                 54           trails                Roland                       81

Turbos = 228.80

Mighty Blues = 390

Mighty Blues ease out to a 4-1 lead, as Roland edges back past Gary.

Miniscule $1.50 quinella for all the Blues bar Gordy.

Blind Squirrel also had the quinella, and Steve P on the winner.

Mighty Blues looking for a BB result from Roland in the next, Tiptronic or/and The Real Beel.

Big race the next for the Turbos, with all bar SteveP having BBs.  Rock On Wood x2, Fiscal Fantasy x2 will be particularly good, Luvaluva x2, Beauden x1, Camino Rocoso x1.

Should be a big move from the Turbos with those plentiful chances..

as directly above again, folks.

Turbos = 228.80

Mighty Blues = 692

Mighty Roland strikes BB Tiptronic for Mighty Blues.

Mighty Blues maintain their lead over Turbos : 4-1.

Mighty Blues are with the exception of Howie keen on Avantage in the next.     Howie  (now talking in the 3rd person 🙂 ) thinks Avantage is more a 1200m horse..

For the Turbos a Stevie P BB on Volpe Veloce would be problematic for Geoff. Watch Geoff load up now on Volpe Veloce.  😄

in the absence of anything yet from Sir G, here's MM's take - hopefully accurate on Ferdies/Crusaders after R4 Herbie Dyke Stakes

2 FERDIES (7th) 559.60

3 CRUSADERS* (2nd) 400.80

 Saders miss out in the Herbie Dyke but Zac nabs not only the winner but an excellent Q for the Ferdies to reduce the Saders lead to the minimum.

56.00 PJ

68.00 Tom

279.60 Zac

56.00 Robert

46.00 Ashoka

89.00 Rob

110.00 Maurice

98.80 Craig

68.00 Heather

89.00 Rex

Rees                88.80      leads                Pete                             35

Ray                   14           trails                Howie                        124

B Squirrel        49           trails                Gordy                         101

Gary                 68           trails                Roland                       383

Turbos            = 312.80

Mighty Blues = 734.00

Mighty Blues still lead, but Stevie P inching ahead of Geoff has reduced the Blues margin back to 3-2

All bar the Blues' Pete & Roland on the Mighty Shark, BB for Stevie P for the Turbos.

As we move over now to the Aussie side of the racecard we find that Microphone or Banquo would put Geoff back in front, and extend the Blues' lead.

Turbos = 382.40

Mighty Blues = 846.20

Geoff strikes back for Mighty Blues, who ease back out to a 4-1 lead with just 2 races to go.

Some very close margins in these games though, with Blind Squirrel for the Turbos closing right in on Gordy. The Turbos still have the hard job though of pulling not one match but two matches back, with time running out.

Turbos' Stevie P will be looking to Guizot in the penultimate go to get back ahead of Geoff. Odeon or Tinkermosa can get Blind Squirrel ahead of Gordy.

Odeon or Miss Siska can get Pete ahead of Rees .... to set the white flag a flyin'. 🙂

Stay tuned folks .... this ain't over yet ...... no way. The Turbos are a comin'.

As directly above, folks.

If the Mighty Blues win 4-1 or 5-0 then Geoff has said he will instigate impeachment proceedings against the Mighty Blues Team Captain !

That same Team Captain who messaged all his team-mates mid-week to get them to buy in to playing the Joker against the Turbos - succeeded - then down comes a shower of rain at Warwick Farm and the Team Captain bottles out and no Joker play ( or does the chicken sqwawk as Rees has so eloquently put it. 🙂  ).

Team Captain pretty confident that impeachment proceedings would fail - has adopted the tried and proven American system of loading the Judge and Jury bench almost entirely with staff on his payroll - so this Team Captain ain't goin' nowhere folks. 😄

The Joker lives to be played another day - and right at this minute the Kauri Kats are looking an awfully soft target. Maybe they better pray for a shower of rain. Cos the Mighty Blues are a comin for ya ! 😁

In the right light, Trump...Howie... yes I can see it.
Not this time Howie. I agreed with the no joker today play. The NZ races were always going to be close so only 3 races at Caulfield risked one roughie being a big problem.

Turbos = 424.40

Mighty Blues = 937

Amazingly though 0-5 down the Turbos can still win this !!

Yes they can !

All 10 players in this match have Best Bets in this final race coming up, and the Turbos have gone big on Begood Toya Mother and Ringerdingding. Either of those get up, and the Turbos will be home for all money.

Stick around folks .... this last one is gonna be a cracker.

..
