To win:

The Turbos need-

a Bews-Kin quinella in that order for Ray, Ziggy and Blind Squirrel and hope it pays enough to get BS home (a stretch) accounting for Maurice who will defeat OM

The Highlanders need-

River Noire to win for Rob and Craig

The Magpies need-

Bews to win for Secret Squirrel (must pay $6.10+ or Kin complete the Q)

OR

Anilla to win for Richie

OR

Mornington Glory to win for Ian

The Kauri Kats need-

River Noire to win for Jen and Rex

Well done Heather, PJ, Hesi, Maurice .... who's the other guy ...... oh...yes .... Geoff. 😊 Good score today, Geoff.
Ferdies . . . worthy overall champion NPC Super team in 2023 ! Grand effort.

Well done also to the Chiefs who finished the comp strongly, beating us Highlanders out in the Presidents Grand Final, and securing 5th place.
.
Thanks Craig for being an excellent Captain for us Highlanders.

Very enjoyable comp. Thank you for all your effort and skills, PJ.

GRAND FINAL DAY - Saturday November 11

Comp Race 10 - Flemington R9

NPC SPRING SUPER COMP GRAND FINAL

4 FERDIES - NPC SPRING SUPER COMP CHAMPIONS

$1315.40 - Runners-up

1 TURBOS

$843.80

Bews never got into the finish so The Turbos were unable to turn it around at the death meaning The Ferdies run out NPC Spring Super Comp Champions. The McNeill winner tipped by Ferdies Heather and PJ with best bets and Turbos Our Maizcay (BB also), Gary & Blind Squirrel. Heather as often happens was Match Star with 8 winners while Our Maizcay was Manawatu MVP. The Turbos slightly off song today but were still in it going into the last. Well played guys.

3rd PLACE PLAYOFF

2 MAGPIES - 4th place

$823.40

3 BLUES - 3rd place

$762.60

Mornington Glory tried valiantly for Ian to turn the match around but came up just short of winning the 3rd place battle for The Magpies who had to settle for 4th with The Auckland Blues securing the Bronze. Everyone missed the final winner - not sure how that happened ! Antz - the only player in profit - was Man of the Match for the "pies while the victors' MVP was Pete, just edging Moose.

NPC SPRING SUPER COMP PRESIDENTS GRAND FINAL

4 CHIEFS - Presidents Champs

$1191.20

1 HIGHLANDERS - Presidents Runners-up

$542.80

Despite a fairly dismal day The Highlanders were still in it going into the last but River Noire never yelped so the Presidents Final goes to The ever-improving Chiefs, a fine consolation after a poor round-robin series. The Magnus winner tipped by Chiefs Robert (with a BB), Gee and Jack while Tonka and Midnight Caller rounded out the scoring for the Otago boys. Howie, as is often the case, was Highlanders' MVP while Gee - finding form late in the comp - was Man of the Match.

417.20 Gee

146.60 Midnight Caller

217 Jack

119 Tonka

187 Steve P

0 Craig

279 Robert

115.20 Rob

91 Lightning Blue

162 Howie

WOODEN SPOON PLAYOFF

1 KAURI KATS - Wooden Spooners

$782.80

4 SWAMP FOXEs - Narrow escapees

$1061.20

The Kauri Kats' final hope of avoiding the Wooden Spoon - River Noire - traveled well but never fired so it's Max's crowd who earn the dubious cutlery honour with the Swamp Foxes running out reasonably comfortable winners. The final winner tipped by Man of the Match Black Caviar with a best bet also landed likewise by Max and Sharne with Kats' MVP Graeme also tipping the final winner.

113 Max

248 Rees

304.80 Sharne

426.20 Black Caviar

39 Rex

197 Punter Pete
