Well played Hesi - nailed me by half  length!!

Yes you are right.
It was the “The number is the distance from winner in lengths” that threw me. Should have know as it was on the $50m TAB website.

Round 5 - Saturday Sep 19

Race 10 - Caulfield R8

1st - 1 Behemoth W-$2.90

2nd - 6 Dollar For Dollar Q-$81.30

Scr: 14,18-20

1 BLACKBOOKERS (2nd)

$486.40

0 points

4 DAYLIGHT (1st)

$748.40

3 points

The Blackbookers big hope for a miracle got back from a wide draw and was winding up for a big run in the straight when he ran out of room so Daylight take the win and a bonus point for a 4-1 margin as Ian found the winner and Maurice didn't to win their personal contest. Others on the Gr1 winner were Daylights's TC and Blackbookers Midnight C (also with a BB) and PJ. Richie was Blackbookers MVP while Pam was The Match Star although no one showed a profit.

123.60 PJ

157.20 John

178.20 Richie

174.60 Ray

62.60 Dino

195.60 Pam

90.00 Midnight C

160.00 The Crucible

32.00 Maurice

61.00 Ian

3 MAXISQUILLIONS (8th)

$1376.20

3 points

2 NO EYE DEER (3rd)

$1431.80

2 points

Cascadian and Tagloa ran into traffic problems and couldn't pull it off for No Eye Deer so the Maxis held on to win with all of them bar Rob finding the winning fave in the last with Heather, Max and Graeme adding BBs. Stevie was the sole succcessful selector for No Eye Deer in the last. Max's final winner saw him snatch Man of the Match honours from No Eye Deer MVP Jen with both posting massive scores. Both teams took a bonus point for a team profit while No Eye Deer took another for a superior aggregate.

85.00 Rob

925.00 Jen

120.60 Graeme

59.60 Stevie N

109.00 Georgy Boy

75.00 Ashoka

120.60 Heather

223.60 Porky

941.00 Max

147.60 Gordy

2 REAPERS (7th)

$547.20

0 points

3 PUMPED (4th)

$819.40

2 points

Hesi managed to beat Blind Squirrel on a countback with Age of Chivalry 10th over Cascadian's 11th but the other results didn't go the Reapers' way so Pumped celebrate another win with Rees and Blind Squirrel bagging BBs in the last as did Capatain Alan who was the Reapers' MVP. Rees edged Gary for Man of the Match honours. No bonus points were earned on a tough day.

163.60 Hesi (on countback)

163.60 Blind Squirrel

142.60 Jack

61.20 Ziggy

85.00 Roland

94.60 Moose

70.00 Craig

255.00 Rees

86.00 Tom

245.00 Gary

2 SUPERIORS (6th)

$453.80

0 points

3 TOO FAST (5th)

$630.60

2 points

Dollar For Dollar nearly did the job for Pete and The Superiors but the fave - selected by Superiors Sharne and Punter Pete (each with BBs) and Too Fast pair Robert (also with a BB) and Geoff - proved too strong. Too Fast's Robert was Man of the Match while Punter Pete was MVP for The Superiors. No bonus points were earned.

133.00 Punter Pete

104.00 Geoff

62.60 Mardy

126.60 Howie

62.60 Pete

181.00 Robert

75.00 Steve P

59.00 Rex

120.60 Sharne

160.00 Gee

Table after Round 5

1st 14 Daylight $5751.20

2nd 10 Blackbookers* $5289.80

3rd 9 No Eye Deer $5598.60

4th 9 Pumped $4686.00

5th 7 Too Fast* $5842.40

6th 5 Maxisquillions* $5309.00

7th 4 Superiors $4633.40

8th 3 Reapers $3574.60

Daylight won today's top of the table clash and have established a 4 point cushion over their victims, The Blackbookers. No Eye Deer lost but their two bonus points saw them retain 3rd place while Pumped and Too Fast won but were not able to improve their positions. The day's big movers were The Maxis who jumped up out of the cellar to 6th spot after their win causing the day's other two losing sides - The Superiors and Reapers to each drop a spot. Five Jokers still to be played in the next two weeks before we reach the halfway point in the Round Robin so expect things to change dramatically.

Apologies  to my team, as I seem to have spread my virus (Richie immune)into the camp. This virus has been on going over the last few weeks and I  have sort medical help! Doc is sure it's  the "T virus",but I have eliminated that as I have reviewed the racing results  page and still can't  find a winner to put up on Sunday's!!(who knew). Now I have worked out it could only be one thing, and that is the dreaded "stopping virus".This strain seems to infect anything galloping in a PJ comp!!(golf seems ok). Hopefully this has now left the system, in time for next Saturday and we all can look forward to better  days  ahead.

MUSTELID MEDIA: PRESS RELEASE

A statement has been released for general consumption by our very important client, Maxisquillions.

Its authorised spokesperson, one cap’n Max, says in an email received at 6pm this evening:

The long overdue victory by Maxisquillions in Round 5 will have come as a big shock to some, and especially to those with No Eye Deer, and Team Maxis’ commiserations go to all of them for the sheer shock of it all. It was, however, no surprise to us. Other combatants contemplating confrontational conflict will be wise to think twice about deploying their funny Jokers in our direction; for we Maxis will brook no favour, leave no stone unturned, take no prisoners, and will give no quarter in our quest for maximum squillions …”

For the benefit of all, Mustelid Media has taken the liberty of editing out most of the final (rather embarrassing) rambling paragraphs, which made glowing references to the alleged “healing powers and persistent ministrations” of a massage therapist called ‘Nurse Ratched' and too much detail of a riotous and clearly debauched ‘Moet Party’ that lasted 24hrs. (The photos are also withheld.)

We have, though, decided to release the final sentence from cap’n Max – which, waxing lyrical, appears to channel some distant relative he refers to as ‘Winston Churchmouse’.

“By GEORGY BOY, this victory is by no means the end, for we are more cunning than the BROWN FOX himself. Nor, is it even the beginning of the end, for we have both GODZSTAR and the formidable PRIDE OF PEG on our side. But, as we seek the Holy Grail of MAXIMUM SQUILLIONS it is, perhaps, the end of the beginning.

Make of it what you will. We're just a PR firm, and our client always pays in advance.

Maxisquillions draw level with Cooga Moon, Remarx or Total Sass and seize the lead with A Box of Tricks while A Little Vague helps

Reapers go further ahead with Super Flash, Flying Zack, Ruffy Rahtwo or Fast Mover and 3-zip clear with Dubai's Moko while Sky Hi Rahtwo helps

Meila Rei will draw the Maxis level but if it pays $7.20+ (or Dubai's Moko completes the Q) then the Reapers go further ahead !
