PJ snaffles $230+ in another BBQ for the BBs (their 3rd at least today) and he still dips out comfortably to Georgy Boy!

But a fine win overall for them - just. If only Bourbonaire had beaten Aegon. Sigh.

Heads up Maxis!

All good Skip - great match today team Daylight. A real seesaw battle that went down to the wire.

TC kept his unbeaten record despite the mighty Mooseman pushing him all the way while Pam (lovely tally today - great picking) held out our brave Capitan and Ziggy provided Ray with temporary bragging rights.

Thanks John for a top match while Gazz also kept Ian at bay in another close one.

That's round one done and dusted and Team Pumped getting stronger each week - great stuff fellas keep it up!

Also where would we be on a saturday without PJ and his fabulous comp - thanks mate you make the weekend a real treat win, lose or draw!

Round 7 - Saturday Oct 3

Race 10 - Randwick R8

1st - 3 Mirage Dancer W-$9.70

2nd - 2 Mugatoo Q-$13.30

Scr: 5,7,10,22

3 DAYLIGHT* (1st)

2 (x 2 Joker play) = 4 points

2 PUMPED (3rd)

$1209.00

None of Pumped's winning chances got into the finish so Daylight held on to win doubling their points tally with a Joker play. Match Star Pam landed the Metrop winner for Daylight while Blind Squirrel bagged a beaut BB quinella to snatch MVP honours for Pumped from Moose, although they just fell shy of Daylight's aggregate to miss a bonus point.

521.20 Pam

261.40 Rees

135.00 Ray

61.00 Ziggy

124.80 John

388.20 Blind Squirrel

2 MAXISQUILLIONS (7th)

$1476.20

Bossy got everyone excited mid-race with a bold move on Girl Tuesday but in the end neither her or Carif got into the finish so the Blackbookers held on with PJ bagging a nice BB quinella to deny the Maxis - who failed to score in the last - a "higher aggregate" bonus point. Both teams took a bonus point for a team profit. Great match and well done team ! Congrats to Georgy Boy for a top performance to take Man of the Match honours with Midnight C the MVP for the winners.

477.40 Midnight C

197.00 Max

268.60 Richie

140.00 Heather

214.00 Maurice

397.20 Rob

2 TOO FAST (4th)

$1033.60

0 points

3 NO EYE DEER* (5th)

$1247.40

2 (x 2 Joker play) = 4 points

Neither of Too Fast's chances to win it yelped in the last - in fact none of them tipped the winner - so No Eye Deer held on for a successful Joker play with Captain Stevie bagging a BB to pip Too Fast MVP Robert for Man of the Match honours by 40 cents ! No bonus points were earned.

330.00 Geoff

97.20 Porky

17.00 Howie

261.40 Gordy

377.60 Robert

162.80 Ashoka

191.00 Rex

348.00 Jen

118.00 Gee

3 SUPERIORS (8th)

$1208.80

2 points

2 REAPERS* (6th)

$713.00

0 (x 2 Joker play) = 0 points

The Reapers Joker play came undone in the last as Sharne bagged a beaut BB quinella to down Tom and win it for the last-placed Superiors. Roland got the final winner for the Reapers and was their only player to get a collect in Oz. Sharne's big collect saw her pip Steve P for Match Star honours with Jack beating Hesi for Reapers MVP title. No bonus points were earned.

183.20 Mardy

244.00 Hesi

113.00 Punter Pete

255.00 Jack

335.20 Sharne

100.00 Tom

315.40 Steve P

97.00 Roland

262.00 Pete

Table after Round 7 (halfway)

1st 22 Daylight $8679.60

2nd 16 Blackbookers $8096.60

3rd 13 No Eye Deer $7503.00

4th 13 Pumped $7188.20

5th 9 Too Fast $9017.60

------ Finals Qual Mark------------

6th 7 Reapers $5438.60

7th 6 Maxisquillions $7454.20

8th 6 Superiors $6928.40

Daylight's Joker-fuelled win today allowed them to extend their lead by a point at the top of the table while the Blackbookers win has given them a 3 point buffer from the chasers behind. No Eye Deer were the day's big movers also with a Joker-fuelled win taking them up two spots and bumping Pumped and Too Fast down a place each. The Reapers lost but hold 6th but now a only a point clear of the two teams below them - the Maxis and The Superiors, whose win today takes them to within 3 points of a Finals slot despite them remaining in the cellar.

Congratulations Pete and the Superiors, we had the victory, literally till the last 20m of the comp.  Still probably would not have deserved to win, Aus was a disaster, stopped badly

New round next Sat, so still a long way to go

Thanks as always PJ
