Each week there is a critical race (or maybe two) in the comp which tends to play a large role in settling personal contests and as a result, team matches. My guess this week is comp race 7 - the Civic Stakes at Rosehill, which features 6 chances  between $4.40 and $9.00 at the moment. The 3 selectors to post so far have selected 6 different runners with all but one from this group of the most favoured half a dozen.

I think the two jumps races look a little tricky also

Yes true Ian. I was much more confident about Take It Intern as "Duca" hadn't won for over a year.

Live and Free a black booker for sure. Bit like Pohutukawa the previous week (although it still found Invincibella too strong on Saturday)

That’s the beauty of Horse Racing the frustration and exhilaration

That’s the beauty of this comp not only can we enter horses into the black book but under the subtitles IOU we can enter our worthy winning nemesis who we should’ve could’ve would’ve anywho we always have next week for redemption

Yes Pohutukawa was in my Black Book I think I had my BB on that race loomed looked likely just peaked

Hopefully this is our last stop as far as moving is concerned....maybe with a bit of luck we can add Mardi Bazza Curious and LFV to a team they can be called the Invincible’s I’m sure if they gave it a go they would really enjoy it

For the Friggers.

As the managing owner of The Great Guru kinda compelled to pick him. It was a great flat run last week following a solid enough hurdles run at wellington. The hurdle was just his 2nd run back so we knew he'd improve.  Last weeks run should have him cherry ripe for his biggest test yet and my biggest race as an owner. heres hoping but its a strong field.  I also manage Akela Belle who was tripped up on the wet last week...this is a bonus run due to the better track conditions and she'll be paddock bound after this one.
