PWJ
Round 6 - Saturday Feb 18 Comp Race 10 - Rosehill R8 1st - 4 Osipenko W-$7.30 2nd - 5 Zou Tiger Q-$26.70 Scr: 1,11,13 1 KELLY'S HEROES (1st) $929.40 0 points 4 REAPERS*** (4th) $1315.40 3 (x 3 Triple Joker play) = 9 points Everyone missed ! Just a single winner from The Reapers would have got them a team profit and 3 more points and with 3 of them (including a BB from Tom) on the runner-up they went agonizingly close ! Nevertheless they won the day and took a bonus point for a 4-1 margin with Antz Man of the Match. Gary was MVP for the table leaders - Kelly's Heroes who never led at any stage and will need a debrief for sure. 82 Roland 144.80 Tassie Tiger 221 Heather 416 Antz 247.40 Gary 276 Moose 206 Wrinkles 111 Hesi 173 Gordy 367.60 Tom 1 DESPERADOS (2nd) $747.20 0 points 4 RAMONES (8th) $1492.40 4 points The Ramones had it won before the last where Richie capped the day with a BB on the Waller winner also tipped by Desperado Secret Squirrel, their MVP. SS shot past Sarah at the death but this was cancelled out by Richie rolling Maurice. Man of the Match though was Mardy with 6 winners and a big total. The Ramones took bonus points for a team profit and 4-1 margin. 48.20 Rex 120 Jason 231 Maurice 363.20 Richie 287 Secret Squirrel 260.40 Sarah 152 Sharne 505.80 Mardy 29 Mike 282 Steve P 3 COYOTES* (6th) $1466.20 3 (x 2 Joker play) = 6 points 2 MAX FACTORY*** (7th) $1055.00 0 (x 3 Triple Joker play) = -1 point Bye: DREAM TEAM (3rd) $1918.40 3 points Communist lead up but chucked in the little red book in the straight so the Coyotes -for whom scored Maria, Graeme (with a quinella) and Rees with a beaut BB quinella) held on but their margin was reduced costing them two points when Max's BB saw him mug Maria at the line with Pam also landing a BB and Harewood adding a 3rd winner. Nevertheless The Coyotes achieved their team profit in the last for a bonus point (becoming two). There could be trouble at the Factory as their Triple Joker play unraveled to the point where not a point was scored incurring the o0ne point deduction for the failed Triple Joker play. Rees' late flourish saw him grab Man of the Match honours while Max was Chief Steward for the MFs. The Dream Team - with final collects from Ian (with a BB) and Stevie - had a successful Bye round taking the maximum 3 points on offer and establishing the day's top team total. PJ was MVP. 349.40 Graeme 186 Pam 345 Maria 411 Max 246 Craig 173 Jen 425.80 Rees 99 Rob 100 Ray 186 Harewood 268 Stevie N 277 Ziggy 509.80 PJ 341 Ian 452.60 Howie 2 BELIEVERS (9th) $1326.60 2 points 3 UNION JACKS (5th) $1159.00 2 points Late drama here as The Union Jacks plucked victory from the jaws of defeat with Punter Pete snagging the quinella which he needed to tear past Trotslover and win the match, securing team MVP honours in the process. Tonka and Jack completed the scoring for The Union Jacks. The Believersbad luck run continues as they all missed in the last although Lightning Blue was Man of the Match posting the day's top individual score. The can be consoled with bonus points for a team profit and higher aggregate. 332.20 Robert 165.40 Geoff 559.40 Lightning Blue 112 Jack 89 Smiler 173 Gee 79 Blind Squirrel 312.40 Tonka 349 Trotslover 396.20 Punter Pete
PWJ
Table after Round 6 Defeat for Kelly's Heroes today saw them drop down two places from the lead to 3rd, their spot at the top taken by The Reapers who enjoyed a successful Triple Joker play and they now lead by 5 points from The Dream Team who moved up a place after a maximum points Bye round. The Desperadoes, like the table leaders also lost AND dropped two places while their conquerors the Ramones and fellow winners today the Coyotes (who also successfully deployed a Joker) each climbed up one place. Despite their last gasp win The Union jacks dropped a spot to 6th while the believers despite their late loss got out of the cellar, their tenancy taken up by the Max Factory who look to take their industrial activities underground...
