NPC Spring Super Comp - Round 2 - Sat Aug 12

ROUND 2 - Saturday August 12

 

The South's hurdle event of the season kicks off Round 2 followed by a fairly open restricted mile and then the big one: The NZ Grand National. We pop up to Hamilton for some familiar faces in the open sprint at Te Rapa and then nip over to Rosehill for a tricky sprint where half the field are resuming.

Then it's back to Riccarton for the last race of the Winter Carnival with a big, wide-open field before we settle back in the Parramatta swamp for 3 interesting sprints including the Listed Rosebud with a number of talented types resuming. Finally we head for Adelaide to round out the day where the big boy Behemoth is honoured with a race in his name and some different form lines to sort out. You know how important that last comp race can be....

The unbeaten Blues and Kats face off with some great match-ups while the Highlanders look to go 2-for-2 against the Turbos who nevertheless outscored them on aggregate last week despite going down to The Ferdies who themselves take on the cellar dwelling Chiefs. Lastly two sides winless after Round 1 - the Swamp Foxes and Magpies - are looking to get a victory on the board after a slow start last week.

Head-to-Head of the Round ? Possibly two of the top 5 from last week - Jen and Gordy face-off in the Battle of Waiwera as the Kats and Blues do battle for supremacy of the Northern marches. 

Remember you must have at least 6 different picks (of 20) for those who post after their opponent
